Please help me answer some questions about nominations I'm confused about or where people may have different opinions to settle.

Characters

In Crossover Fandom, "Other: Worldbuilding (Destiny & Marathon)" is nominated. Worldbuilding seems outside the scope of Crossover Fandom to me - nominator, what did you have in mind?

I have also already approved "Group: Alex Rider (Alex Rider)/Artemis Fowl (Artemis Fowl)" in Crossover Fandom, but please could I hear further from the nominator to clarify whether this means book characters, recent adaptation characters, or something else?

Similarly, for "Group: Susan Pevensie (Narnia)/Boromir (Lord of the Rings)", and for other Crossover Fandom pairings, please indicate which version of canon each character is coming from.

In JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, could I check that "Kira Yoshikage" and "Killer Queen" are separate characters?

In Kushiel's Legacy, an "Original Character (Kushiel's Legacy)" has been nominated. Could the nominator please narrow down what sort of character, and in what time period in the series, you are interested in?

In Original Work, "Other: Worldbuilding (OW)" is nominated. Unfortunately I will not approve that tag for this fandom, as it is too broad, but the nominator is welcome to nominate another character for Original Work instead.

In Star Wars Legends: Clone Wars: Gambit Series - Karen Miller, the relationship "Qui-Gon Jinn/Obi-Wan Kenobi & Greti" is nominated, but it looks as though Qui-Gon does not appear in this series. Could the nominator please confirm they mean Qui-Gon, or is this meant to be Anakin?

For Dragon Age (Video Games) - is this how the fandom usually handles this in exchanges or is there a case for splitting up? I will approve this if there is no further input, but wanted to raise it for discussion.

For Hunger Games Series - All Media Types - no book or movies preference?

Nominator of Les Misérables - All Media Types, could you please pick a version? I've already approved Hugo's book and the 25th Anniversary production. Either of those, or a different version, is fine.

There's Terminator (Movies) - is everyone OK with all Terminator characters and pairings showing up under that? For example, I have Sarah Connor, whom I osmose as having several alternate timelines. I will approve this if there is no further input, but wanted to raise it for discussion.

For The Vampire Diaries & Related Fandoms - is this how the fandom usually handles it in exchanges? What are the related fandoms?

Assassin's Creed: I'd usually argue for them to be separate but honestly, as we can repeat fandoms, it's probably fine without being split. That's likely to be more straightforward for you and shouldn't affect the requesters (like myself) too vastly.

Otherwise, splitting like this would work:

A DCEU fan perspective: it's pretty customary to nominate ships via the tag DC Extended Universe. The character overlap between Batman V Superman, Man of Steel, Justice League, and Aquaman films is pretty high, making it troublesome to split up the DCEU ships via movie.

As another DCEU fan, agreed. A bunch of the characters are in multiple movies, and there aren't enough character-specific movies that aren't entangled with ensemble continuity for it to make sense to me to treat it like the MCU.

As a nitpicky note, the Group: Clark Kent/Lex Luther (DC Extended Universe) tag is misspelled. The correct spelling is Luthor (and the nominator probably meant Lex Luthor Jr., as we never see Luthor senior).

For Divergent I have no preference over books vs movies.

For the vampire diaries and related fandoms. I’m thinking of the shows The Vampire Diaries, The Originals and Legacies. Some characters appear in more than one of these shows. They are all within the same universe.

For Dragon Age, it's almost always bundled under the Dragon Age (Video Games) group. I don't think there's a good reason to split it up, especially since some characters span the lemgth of all three games.

Seconding this - it's almost universally Dragon Age (Video Games) for the games and then, for example, Dragon Age (Comics) for characters/ships that only appear in that media :)

Hi - I nominated Worldbuilding (Destiny & Marathon) under crossover fandoms! Both games are made by the same company (Bungie), and Destiny contains several references to Marathon, including implications that they are both divergent timelines in a shared multiverse and that it's possible for objects (and possibly people) to cross between them. For worldbuilding, I would be interested in exploring how this crossover can happen and what other points of crossover or commonality might occur, as well as shared elements of their worldbuilding such as Destiny's Black Garden and the garden referenced in the unformatted "Kill Your Television" terminal in Marathon 2 (text and meta about the KYT terminal; lore entries about the Black Garden in Destiny).

If that's not sufficient for approval, that's fine! It's just something that I find really interesting and thought might be worth nominating.

It gave me pause to see the nomination because I hadn't thought of this as a crossover exchange despite allowing crossover pairings, and approving this might open the way to crossover nominations of this type between other fandoms. But why not, let's give it a go.

FWIW, I've played a lot of AssCreed games, but am not much "in the fandom" fic-wise.

The series has an overarching frame story, but the historical stories - the main part of each game - are largely unconnected. That said, making them separate fandoms becomes an issue if people want ships/groups with characters from multiple stories or from the modern plot, such as Ezio/Desmond, Ezio/Connor or something (which is not uncommon), which would then be "crossovers," or if someone tries to slide in an all-AssCreed signup. There's probably no compelling reason not to use All Media Types; I think the only exchanges where I'd actively advocate for splitting it are ones like Yuletide, where it genuinely isn't really fair to count the piles of Altair/Malik and Ezio/Leonardo fic against people who want Bayek fic.

I nominated Persona 5: Royal (which adds characters and content to the original game Persona 5, which is the canonical tag).

I have two issues, below:

1. One character is literally a cat, so I appended him as an & relationship to my ship requests (because he's a cat). Is that OK?

2. I disambiguated the fandom with (P5R), the common abbreviation within fandom, because my ensemble requests were running up into the character limit. (This is a fandom with loads and loads of characters)

1. Yes, that's okay.

2. That is fine! The information used for disambiguation doesn't have to be the full canon name, it just has to be something unique and clear that helps identify the fandom if the tag gets confused.

Hello! Just wanted to flag one of my fandoms in case there's any issues. I've nominated 'Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Relaunch Novels', referring to this specific grouping of recent Trek novels. The books share common storylines and are set up as their own post-TV-finale continuity (ie. the books aren't paired to the TV episodes or anything, and where characters are shared with show canon they have extensive book storylines show viewers wouldn't recognise.) But if it's not okay to nominate them separately to the show or you need any more info to decide how to handle them, just let me know?
