For the Kiesha'ra series: Tuuli Thea and Diente are titles for the leader of two different peoples, avian and serpentine respectively. During the last book, a character scrys into the future and sees this scene.

"It was a strange world, taken over by humanity and stretching further than anyone had ever imagined. Vast oceans, unknown continents, machines thst did the work of men...what an incredible world it had become in the centuries since my own life. And within that world:

Two women stood face to face, garnet eyes looking deeply into gold. The cobra began to laugh, then hugged the hawk joyously. The Tuuli Thea was crying, but they were sweet tears.

Both knelt beside a baby girl with white-blonde hair and golden eyes. The next Tuuli Thea's father - a white viper, one of the few remaining chilsren of Obsidian - leaned nearby, watching trustingly as the Diente picked up the hawk-viper child.

None of them knew what their ancestors had gone through - what risks had been taken, what sacrifices had been made - to allow them to stand there unafraid."

The intent of that nomination was for me to request fic of the two women portrayed in that scene. This is the only scene in canon where these characters appear and there are no canon names for them, though if the same dynasties as the present-day canon have continued unbroken, the Tuuli Thea (gold-eyed hawk woman) would be from the Shardae family and the Diente (red-eyed cobra woman) would be a Cobriana

Re: Bluestone 42, Yes, I totally mistyped Kevin MacDowell, in the shuffle of "what are Mac and Rocket's actual names???" Also, I'm happy to just have the characters alone without the group, if that makes more sense. I could see backstory stories about their lives outside of what we see in canon that wouldn't have the group, but I agree that the risk of not getting at least some of the group is pretty small!

hi, I'm the nominator for Critical Role - Campaign 2! I nominated under C2 because that's the only one I've finished and it has been in the past almost 100% separated from the other campaigns in both characters and time period. I've been working on watching all of the other stuff CritRole has put out, while also trying very hard to avoid spoilers for it...I have picked up some vague hints that perhaps Campaign 3 has involved a bunch of crossover between the previous two campaigns? Maybe? But obviously since I'm avoiding spoilers I really don't know to what extent or even really what I might be opting into by folding my noms under the canonical tag.

In general, though, I don't really love the idea of the canonical Critical Role (Web Series) tag as a fandom tag for an exchange because it's very broad, although maybe not in a way that's obvious from the outside. It's broad because there are two ways to read it, and both of those ways cover a lot of material?

1) it could include only the D&D campaigns and oneshots that they've done in the setting of their main campaigns, but the main campaigns themselves take place across several decades, plus they have at least one shorter campaign that takes place something like 800 years in the past, and each one focuses on different characters (well, unless Campaign 3 is doing something really wildly different...)

2) it could include everything listed in 1) and also every single other spinoff related to the setting, regardless of media or if it even shares the same characters. This is the one that AO3 seems to have gone with because the Critical Role (Web Series) tag is really being used like an All Media types tag if you look at the fandom syns, which include tags for a campaign settings book, spin off novels, and backstory comics under that tag.

If my tags end up really needing to go under Critical Role (Web Series) for spoilers reasons that no one can tell me because spoilers then I can definitely live with that and it's honestly not impossible that I'll finally have watched all the CritRole stuff by fffx reveals, but I hope we can keep them separate. Sorry for this long comment. :(

No spoilers, cross my heart, but I'm the Critical Role (Webseries) nominator. On a base organizational level, it's just easier to use the single fandom. My five ships would have to be split across three separate fandoms--and if anyone wanted to do characters across campaigns, those would have to go in Crossover. I feel like that actually increases the risk of spoilers because they're going to get debates about who has met in canon and who hasn't.

I also don't think nominating tags under C2 would protect you from spoilers in the same way adding a DNW to your request for C3 spoilers would.

I would rather see them all folded into "Critical Role (Webseries)" or, if we want to avoid the inclusion of other CR media that is entirely divorced from the weekly stream, something like "Critical Role (Webseries) - Exandria."
