Nominated characters include Bucky Barnes, Clint Barton, and Phil Coulson. It's not clear to me that these characters appeared in the show. Help me out please? If they didn't, please nominate their relationships with Wanda and Darcy under Avengers movies, Crossover Fandom, Thor movies, or possibly some other part of the MCU where both/all relevant parts of a relationship appeared.

in re the noms for The Flash: no, I don't have a problem with it being approved as Arrowverse instead of a specific show; I just don't know how to do that when selecting a fandom on AO3.

Thanks for letting me know! Yeah - you don't need to select something that comes up in the dropdown at all. You can type what you want into the field and then select enter, comma, or tab (I think comma is easiest on mobile)? to lock that into the field. Anyway, I'll put it through as Arrowverse.

Unless wrangling changed, I think Arrowverse is a freeform tag, we usually nominate it as DC's Arrowverse as a fandom tag.

hello! re: the islanders -- it's written as a travel guide, with short sections on various destinations, plus journal articles, letters, diary entries, and other documents. we don't learn that much about any of the recurring characters, and I'd love to know more, but don't mind too much who a potential author chooses. it almost meshes with Worldbuilding since the recurring characters are mostly famous in the world (thus the newspaper articles): a painter, a couple authors, a couple installation artists, etc. while I'd be happy with a regular narrative fic about any of the characters, the canon is probably better suited to more in-universe documents and talking about the character(s)'s effect on the world. I'm happy to nominate tags however you think is best!

Not that nominator, just an MCU geek. Bucky, Clint, and Coulson were definitely NOT on WandaVision. I think Avengers (Movies) would be your best bet, because that's the only series they were all in. Kind of a stretch for Darcy, who's only in there as a name and a photo, but it's the best you're getting for the whole lot.

For Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, I've nominated two groups, the Wardlow Family (used as an umbrella term in the fandom for the main characters who hang around with Miss Fisher) and Sonder Characters, which is used for the one-off characters who have a significant role and connection to one or more of the Wardlow Family. Wardlow Family I think is clear enough, but I know Sonder Characters may be too vague and need yeeting

I'm The Originals nominator. I'd prefer to have them split because although they share a universe (and some of a cast for a couple of series of the Vampire Diaries) I really feel that the Originals is its own thing in terms of both story but also themes and even audience. I am more interested in the Originals-specific plot lines - more about the Original family and less about how they relate to the Vampire Diaries characters, if that makes sense? Thank you for all your work!

Fanon often has Atlantis as a semi-sentient city that can respond to need, have favorites among "her" residents, etc! I'm picturing that interaction with Daniel - however a writer might get him there plotwise and whether or not they tackle the gene issue.

Not the The Flash nominator of your question, but I wondered if with more shows added to the Arrowverse fandom than at the time of the thread linked, it made more sense to nominate separately.

I also forgot and followed this other instruction "Please separate out Marvel movies and separate TV shows - ie, Iron Man (Movies) rather than MCU" when I nominated an Arrowverse fandom, but I can edit, just let me know.

You have a good point - it probably would have been more helpful if I'd polled Arrowverse fans for their thoughts before this round began.

I've been preserving the disambiguations as I approve things just in case there's a strong argument for re-splitting, but I hope that for this year, it's workable to keep the 2020 groupings.

I'm thinking about a nomination and want to ask ahead of time.

I'd like to put in: Char: John Sheppard & Oth: Worldbuilding (SGA) and maybe another like this in another fandom. So, similar to some crossover tags, but within the same universe. To me, it has a different emphasis than just nominating the character. (Either way, I'd prompt for specific worldbuilding elements in optional details.)

Or would it be preferred that I stick with nominating the character alone? Thanks!
