Prompts: So honestly, any type of fic with these guys and I will be happy as long as it’s a slow burn. But an idea I have for them goes back to the start where Lux finds him in prison but as a prison guard herself and he tempts her to his side. Or, Sylas is a mageseeker, finds her and has to take her into custody. Another idea is she breaks him out and they go on a long adventure together.

Prompts: I was always sad that there weren’t more interactions between Vincent and Heather because I thought their power dynamic is interesting. I love that Vincent knows more about the world and what Heather represents than she does but gives very little. Just enough to make her freak out and question reality. So, any story based on that would be amazing. This is also one of the few fandoms I lean into the A/B/O situation-minus the animal part-where I think Vincent watching/hunting Heather would fit really well, waiting for his chance to strike. Honestly, go crazy with this one. AU’s, gore, torture of any kind, seriously…this pairing is one where the author can lose their self and I will be happy.

Prompts: These two are detectives and I love how Holder is this easy going, chill guy with a dark past while Sarah is the exact opposite. He is constantly trying to get her to crack and she is always putting up her walls. I would love to see a story where maybe Holder relapses and goes to her for help while in a drugged out state. Or, maybe a story where they’re on a case and Sarah is kidnapped, forced to take a drug as a warning to Holder and he has to help her through it and the aftermath. Honestly, I would love a story where it’s a play on their power dynamic but in a darker, more serious tone that touches on Holder’s drug past with of course a romantic aspect as well.

Prompts: I’ve always wondered what exactly happened during the deal making between Hade’s and Eurydice. I’ve been curious too about how this play would look through Hade’s eyes and his lust for Eurydice once he tempted her into the Underworld. Even though he says ‘the girl means nothing to me’ she does in the sense she is another object for him to posses. What would happen if she tried to run away? Or if she holds back from joining his side? How does Persephone deal with all of this? I love the idea too of Persephone joining in and toying with Eurydice as well for Hades.

(I’ve only watched S1 and S2, so nothing after that. I might watch S4, but I thought the end of S2 would have been a great place to leave the show, with them opening the door to go out into the “real” world).
My DWN of "no excessive gore" and "no graphic descriptions of rape" might seem incompatible with "Canon typical violence" as this *is* Westworld, especially since the hosts have no choice but to enjoy sex with humans, and can't refuse to do anything. There's a grey area in there, so if in doubt, asks the Mods to ask.
Poor Teddy! He really seems to be one of those Hosts that will always end up screwed over, no matter what - it's the way his story was designed.
I don't ship Teddy with anyone, and I'm not averse to him / with anyone, although I found him and Dolores a bit dull. Him and Wyatt is interesting, and is him and The MiB.
I’d love something about his previous “Life”, maybe when he was the sheriff, before everyone died.
And was he programmed for any other roles before he was the mysterious bounty hunter?
What about his relationship with "Wyatt", how far did it go, how did it fit with "Dolores"?
And he died the most in the park (I think?) - Why?
And he would have had the most reprogramming and the most trips back to the workshop. Did that affect his programming? How did they make sure he was still functional after all those deaths?
What about if no host ever found the way to he centre of the maze, what would happen in the future for him?
What future scenarios might there have been?
The MiB trying to corrupt him might be interesting too, as he is set up as "the good guy".

My favourite character is Goosefat Bill. I don’t ship him with anyone, although I quite like the idea of him and Maggie, and the only / I don’t like is him and Bedivere, as they seem to be good friends more than anything more.
I’d imagine he’d do what he had to do to be such a good spy, how does he actually feel about that?
How did he end up in the brothel, what was that mission about?
What was he like while Uther was alive, and how did he react to his death?
Him and Bedivere worked for years to find Arthur and try and protect the people. What sort of things did they have to do?
How did he get his nickname?

It is one of my all-time favourite games, and I could happily play it all day (and I have!). That’s part of the reason I need fic for it, I’ve played it so much and spent so much time thinking about it while playing that my brain demands answers. I have my own ideas, but I’d love to hear other people’s, especially since this is such a teeny weeny fandom.
The heroes showing up would be okay too, I don’t mind. The -in-character part of my wants is more difficult, especially since you don’t get too much characterisatoin of any of them.
Wtf does Sumner do all day in his tower? He’s always there!
And how does he get so many (basically infinite) power-ups?
And as he’s so powerful why did he need to drag the players into all of this?
And why doesn’t he just *tell* them where the runestones are?
And why bother with all those crystals to open the doors, just what is going on in that tower???
Garm is his brother, what’s their story?
And how did Garm meet up with Skorne? Why did he betray the world?
Oh, one of my favourite parts isn’t even in the main game - when you quit and it goes “game over”, there is a short scene with Sumner at this podium and Skorne’s fist punches through the wall and pulls him away. I love it! And swat an excellent starting point for a fic!

Make me cry, please. Crush my heart and stomp on it. Make Phoenix die falling from that bridge and having his stupid, foresight-devoid spirit floating in the hospital room when Miles arrives. He can watch Miles have a breakdown and feel miserable about it. Then he can spend his eternal spirit life haunting Miles in Germany the way he always wanted, only he probably imagined it being a bit more reciprocal. Make Phoenix wish upon a star that he could be with Miles wherever he goes, and have it come true in the worst way. If there's one thing he ought to have learned as a lawyer, it's that wording matters.
Whatever AU you have in mind, I want to see it. 🥰 I think A Christmas Carol would work especially well. Perhaps Miles as the demon prosecutor who has no compassion for those he sends to jail, innocent or otherwise. All the ghosts would be Phoenix lol, and future Phoenix is a hanged version of him. Alternatively, a fun frolic would be lovely as well. Hogwarts/wizard/magic AU?
I think it would be fun for Phoenix to have almighty but subtle god powers, Haruhi Suzumiya-style. I've always found his turnabouts to be a bit unlikely, almost as if at the critical moment, he re-makes reality to fit his theory. I think an AU where everyone around him is trying to keep reality stable around him would be cool. Possibly the Feys are aware, but Phoenix himself isn't—he's just reshaping reality and thinking it's always been like this. An endless-eight style time loop would be fun too!
I love to roll in angst, and I love when the stakes are high and someone's dying or possibly already dead. Paradoxically, I'm mad forever about Edgeworth and his big, stupid chooses death year. Regardless of whether he meant it, it seems unnecessarily cruel that he just. . . was alive and didn't mention it for a whole year and let Phoenix think he was dead. I'd love to see a work where he's literally unable to get in contact. Amnesia or a coma, or perhaps he's been blasted to space like a stray piece of incriminating evidence by a desperate villain, and has to keep himself alive until he can get back to Earth.
These are just stray thoughts. Feel free to run with any other ideas too!

Perhaps they could compete against the creator's self-insert OC. I love discussions about your favorite pieces and sections, and the techniques, and how you feel when you play it. 🥰
I think a multiverse-type situation would work for these two! Shuhei is sick of playing second fiddle and living in Kai's shadow. Somehow, he's offered a way into another universe. He sets out in search of a world where he's the best, or at least better than Kai at something. Anything. So in one world they're artists, maybe in another they're athletes. . . does he ever prevail? Does he come to make peace or even love his own world? Does he ever get back? I also think it would be sweet if Kai goes on a quest to find him. 💖
Or perhaps Shuhei makes a stupid, ill-advised wish that he could be the best, and it comes true by Kai being wiped from existence and history. Then Shuhei has to go and undo his wish. Or perhaps Kai still exists but he isn't a pianist. I think it would be heartbreaking to have a scene where Shuhei finds Kai and starts to teach him the piano again. Kai struggles with a simple piece, and Shuhei has all these tumultuous feelings while they play.
Maybe they get thrown back in time and play a pivotal role in some composer's greatest creation 👀
Schubert's Fantasia in f minor for four hands is my favorite piece. (No pressure to include it! Just seemed the sort of thing that might be relevant to this request.)

Thanatos/Zagreus
Thorn of Thanatos, A Friendly Wager, and Skelly's third stupid prize. The three achievements that caused me the most grief.
- Thorn of Thanatos - equip the butterfly and get it to 30%, done by getting through fights without getting hit
- A Friendly Wager - beat Charon in two successive fights
- Skelly's third useless trinket - defeat Redacted on 32 heat
I think it would be charming to see a narrative of Zagreus attempting these challenges, or possibly something where the different weapon aspects play a role. If he meets some other gods who weren't in the game, I'd love that too: Hestia, Apollo, Hera, and Hephaestus. He could also meet some other ancient heroes such as Atalanta or Daedalus.
Than, my beloved 🥺 I just want to see a lot of him every which way. I get happy whenever he shows up in game. I'd love if he'd throw down with another god for Zagreus's sake. Maybe he'll even have a hand in getting Zagreus that last trinket. 💖
Maybe they'll help another couple reconcile like with Achilles and Patty, or with Orpheus and Eurydice. I don't care how many times it's been done, I'll never tire of it.
Maybe they can decorate/cultivate that dark little garden in the House of Hades. I want to decorate it so much! Go out, pillage some gems, and use them to buy some plants from the House Contractor. Or spend some time decorating the House of Hades. It's so soothing.
Maybe a body swap? They're opposites in every way, so it would be funny for them to have to be each other!
Asterius/Theseus
Cutest, weirdest (b)romance in this world and the next! Theseus is such a blowhard. Does his skull rattle like his chariot? Why does the dignified, honorable Asterius put up with this fool?
I think a sort-of poetic piece where they fight a thousand times (not all shown in the work lol), and their fights gradually soften with time and turn into lingering touches, would be so lovely.
Lol I think it would be funny if they split up for a bit and tried to make it on their own, and each fail disastrously. . . they come back to find that Heracles or someone has made a mess of their arena. Or worse: their Elysium-neighbor Patroclus has made a success of it, and he's doing way better than they ever did! Will they have to challenge Patty for their arena back?
Achilles/Patroclus
Make me cry. Make me grieve as much as Song of Achilles did, and more.
I love big, stupid sacrifices, especially when the other can watch and sob and wail and be helpless to stop it. Maybe instead of being a servant of the House, Achilles's contract earns him a special torture room in Tartarus. Like Sisyphus's room, only crueler. He's chained and whipped, or worse, and one day Pat finds him. And. . . what does Pat do? Gnash his teeth and go on a quest and free Achilles somehow? Or does he pick up a whip and join in?
Or perhaps one of them makes a mistake that gets their spirit trapped somewhere. The other returns to find their lifeless body. If the whole work were just someone crying over someone's body, I'd love every word or page of it. And then they can find the trapped spirit somehow and return it to its shade.
I think it would be funny if they had to take over Asterius and Theseus's arena for a week or a century, some amount of time. And if they had a special fusion attack, where they merge into one fighter, DBZ-style. Fusion. . . HA!

I think it would be cool to see a work focused on these two through the ages. Patience and Fortitude were there in the school just a few years after its founding, and since then they've just set up shop in there, feeding on students. I would love to see where they came from, possibly something about how the first maw-mouths were born/made, how they each spent their early years, and how they found the school. Was there jostling when the second one arrived? Did they compete for resources before finally taking one door each? What were some major battles they fought? Which one ate Sir Alfred Cooper Browning, and was there a battle? What does it feel like to be a maw-mouth?
Can you hear the thoughts of all the millions of people you've devoured?
What did it feel like to have your outer layers scorched off by mortal flame? When those spirits were suddenly cut off from your consciousness? When you lose a piece of yourself, do you grieve?
They are probably far less human than I'm imagining them to be lol.
Sir Alfred Cooper Browning
Sir Alfred Cooper Browning was the genius architect artificer who designed the Scholomance, and then he went back to do a repair on the cleansing mechanism, and was devoured by a maw-mouth. Ooof.
I'd love to see sort of a prequel-type situation, following Alfred as he designs and builds the school, and then struggles to solve its first difficulties. Here are some topics it might cover:
- Alfred's early life (and possibly his encounteres with mals)
- How he became a great artificer
- His family, friends, and/or love life
- The social struggles and politicking involved in getting the school built
- In-depth, complex discussions of design/architectural/engineering problems and how he solved them. (The solutions do not need to be realistic, but I'd love for these to have an in-universe basis, and sound logical. For example, I loved the discussion near the end of The Last Graduate where Alfie gave an in-depth explanation of why the cleansing mechanism won't work longer than 4 years. I wonder if Alfie is related to Sir Alfred.)
- The turmoil, guilt, and grief he may or may not feel when he hears about students dying and mals getting into the school
- His eventual attempt to repair the cleaning mechanism, and his death

Li Shan Feng
He's one of three people to ever destroy a maw-mouth in recorded history. It took him a week, and three people on his team died, but in the end he emerged from the maw-mouth and restored his enclave to greatness. This dude was just a name in a textbook, a footnote in Maleficaria Studies. Turns out he's alive and well, dominus of the Shanghai Enclave, and probably about to become a major character.
I'd love to see a work about what happened to the Shanghai Enclave when the maw-mouth took over, and his battle to destroy it. Backstory about Li Shan Feng would be lovely too (such as his early life, family/friends/romances, etc). I'd especially love to see some in-depth logistics: how they handled the magic in their battle, what tools they used, what spells and strategies they devised, how they practiced, who were the people chosen for the mission, and how they were chosen. I'd love to hear about the ones who died, and what happened to the ones who lived. I would especially love to see the magic and strategy explained in a way that's logical in-universe, similar to the way the end-of-year battles are written (the mission to repair the cleansing mechanism in A Deadly Education, and the grand graduation scheme in The Last Graduate).
Other Comments
I would love a work focusing on any combination of these characters. For example a work about Patient and Fortitude where Sir Alfred makes an appearance would be lovely. Or a two-chapter work, where the first chapter is about Sir Alfred, and the second is about Li Shan Feng. Or a work about just one of them would be lovely too! • I would love a Yustav POV of anything in canon! The OG work has a couple bits of Yus POV of major events, but in the manhwa adaption form we really only get subtle hints from his expression. I'm all spoilered up to the ending (and also own some of the ebooks), so any point in the story/canon is fine!
• Outside POV of Ran is another potentially really fun idea. The story is primarily from her perspective. One of the benefits of the manhwa style is that it does allow for showcasing how the MC has some cognitive disconnects from how the other characters think. Maybe the Second Prince has more thoughts ^TM. Otherwise, OC or minor character perspective of just how many gender role/societal expectations Ran is unthinkingly bowling through as a modern girl in a position of feudal power would be interesting. Maybe a Lachia resident POV on the improvements and changes during her reign.

What I like about Scholomance:
• El's an unreliable narrator,
• El’s narration juxtaposition against the events of the story,

• the worldbuilding is interesting and there are hints toward big plot issues
• the moral dilemna-ism without subscribing to one particular school of ethical thought,
• a bit mission-fic-y while building towards a bigger plot
• El&Orion blasting through mals.
Prompts:
• Maybe an alternative or outside POV of one of the big "impossible" runs in the second book. To El the entire thing is old hat, but the implication is that it's basically un-doable for anyone else. I think Aadya & Chloe & Liu are especially interesting since they're on her squad so to speak and thus have to basically do every run El does. However true outside POV or other character POVs would also be interesting to me.
• I really also like the central Chloe&Liu&Aadhya&El developing friendship, so focusing on how they're being legitimate friends would be great. We have the three girls becoming friends with El over the years in three very different ways. What about one of their POVs?
• Maybe a Lisel&Alfie or Lisel/Alfie backstory? Lisel POV?
• Orion being a human disaster is amusing to me, so anything in that theme is nice. Orion's parents hearing about his dating El would also be quite funny. Orion’s parents reacting to Orion’s human disaster behavior and their continual mitigation attempts are also amusing to me.
• Alternatively, a fluffy El/Orion over-write of that cliffhanger ending would be neat too!

• I really love Alphard/Harry as an AU ship. Since WHMT Tom seemed to have been aromantic in the first timeline and is head over heels for Harry in this one, I think Alphard could be mostly attracted to men but still attracted to Harry. How would Alphard/Harry play out? I would also love to see this as Alphard/Harry if they got dragged to Harry's OG timeline and Sirius' reaction.
• Outsider POV of Harry & quidditch would also be interesting to me!
• Tom trying to sabotage Alphard/Harry was hilarious, what else does he do?
• What about Alphard’s growing realization of who Tom Riddle is as a person, outside of the perfect persona Tom’s been maintaining for the last several years?
• The softest, best of all possible worlds ending where Harry drags Alphard and Tom into her future timeline. Harry saves her friends trapped in the DoM. Alphard and Tom play politics and get Sirius exonerated. Sirius ends up as guardian and de facto parent to the three of them.
• How does the Hogwarts gossip grapevine work in regards to Harry Potter (Harry Evans)’s antics? Characters from the two timelines compare notes and try to reconcile Harry Potter and Harry Evans or Harry Evans and Harry Potter.

For JD/Sandy, maybe where Sandy gravitates towards JD after Coffey keeps victim-blaming her. What if JD's absence due to "mono" ended up being something like JD and Sandy running off to Vegas and getting married? Or, what if Sandy came back in s5 after Coffey's character development and a bit of a triangle/jealousy developed? What if Sandy ended up working with victims of sexual violence in conjunction with Fay?
For Howard/Maura, I am so fascinated by this pairing. The break-up scene was so heartbreaking for so many reasons and one of them is you can see Howard still cares about her but he just can't break out of his own box (both toxic masculinity and his own far-right paradigm) long enough to accept her, even though she's pretty much exactly what he was looking for in s4 when he asked out every woman at the station. So what could happen to change that? Maybe Maura ends up in one of the hostage situations Hunter has to negotiate and he realizes he shouldn't have walked away, or he realizes he treated Maura badly in the wake of Ballantine’s breakdown? Alternatively, maybe Hunter's the one getting held hostage or in some other kind of danger and Maura saves him?

Note: For these, I would really prefer S3 Bryce, when he got into redemption mode, though with Bryce/Justin it can also run the gamut of the whole relationship. Mainly I just want to see Bryce as the 3D character as opposed to Bad Guy Bryce of s1/2.
For Bryce/Justin, there were so many things I wanted to know about their dynamic - when did Justin start basically living at Bryce's house? Did Amber ever try to come get him back? Did the Walkers ever consider adopting him like the Jensens did? Did Justin ever tell Bryce about his trauma, and if so, what was the reaction? What if Bryce had had an attack of conscience in s2 instead of 3 and had been the one to go find Justin on the street?
For Bryce/Tyler, we only got those 2 scenes and I wanted so much more. Did Bryce follow up with Tyler after Tyler told him what happened? Was that what finally made Bryce realize how horrible what he had done was? Were there any earlier plans to get back at Monty that were abandoned? If Bryce and Tyler had had a relationship, how would the rest of the cast react? How would Mr. Porter react if Tyler was the one Bryce had been describing instead of Ani and he'd figured it out?

I'm a fan of both the anime and the manga, so feel free to pull from both/either as you see fit!
What I always come back to with these characters is the scene in Sanctuary Arc where Shiryu tells the story about the rabbit that jumped into the fire to feed the hunter, and says that after this battle he's not going to let Shun fight anymore because Shun is too gentle to live a life as violent as the life of a Saint. I'd love to see them actually get a chance to talk about that! I think it's great that the two of them share the trait of performing best under pressure, with (in my opinion) the main difference being that Shiryu tends to put that pressure on himself on purpose so he can win a fight he was going to get into no matter what, whereas Shun tries everything to avoid having to fight but is absolutely terrifying when all his other options are cut off.
Even though Shiryu is the only one of the two who has a recognizable disability, I think there's an interesting case to be made that Shun's overall constitution functions similarly within the fiction—going all the way back to when Ikki insisted on taking his place on Death Queen Island, it's obvious that Shun's perceived weakness (whether physical or emotional) is a major factor in how people treat him and what they think he is or isn't capable of, and I think that's another fascinating point of similarity between them.
I'm really fond of fics that take the trauma of being basically a child soldier more seriously than canon does. Survivor's guilt, PTSD which they don't have the words for, chronic pain from old injuries that never quite healed right—I love all of that and more!

I'm really interested in how their relationship evolves over the years! I would love to learn more about what Ryuho's training was like before he left for the Palaestra, and how he spends his time when he's home from school… and post-canon, how does his relationship with Shiryu change, and what stays the same? If you want to include Shunrei I'd be delighted! I don't remember exactly how it goes, but I'm pretty sure I remember there being a scene where Shiryu pretends to be hurt worse than he is so that Ryuho will push himself to the limit, and then Ryuho passes out, and Shiryu is like "hm I guess I pushed him too hard" and gives him a little talk about how it's important to know your own limits, and I just thought it was so cute (also character development for Shiryu who used to do that to himself all the damn time!).
Ryuho &/ Shun
They’re just so fucking cute and I’m here for anything from fluffy gen to gritty hurt/comfort to filthy porn (sex pollen, anyone?). I like how Shun is Ryuho’s sort-of-doctor (not in a medical kink way, but in a hurt/comfort way), and I like that Shun was always the tiny fluffy adorable one among the original cast but Ryuho is even tinier (although probably equal in fluffiness and adorableness) and so Shun gets to be the tall one and the protective one for once. The only thing I’m not interested in is a fic about why that age difference would be a terrible idea IRL; if you’re writing this as a sexual or romantic relationship rather than a gen one, I want it to be a good thing for both of them.
Here’s an incredibly weirdly specific concept that’s been rattling around in my head for a while, if you want it: something appeals to me in a genre-savvy and slightly fourth-wall-break-y sense about the fact that Shun is theoretically supposed to be in his late 30s or early 40s in Omega but he actually doesn’t look any older than he did in the original anime (when he was supposed to be, what, 13?). Sure, you can say “it’s just the art style” to a certain extent, but Seiya and Shiryu do actually look like adults in Omega to me, so… who knows! I would like to see this explored as one of those “this is actually horrifying if you take it seriously” kinds of things: the slow, creeping existential terror of realizing that your body is doing something as profoundly abnormal as not aging; the fruitless search for medical answers; maybe a resolution about why this is happening, but maybe not!

I'm so glad that FFFX let us put a couple more nominations in during the signup period, because I finished watching this drama a couple days after the main round of noms closed and I went "oh my GOD, I need to request this". The political intrigue between the different houses alone could sustain me for months (and I love that it feels "grittier" than a lot of other dramas I've watched recently, especially in not shying away from depicting sexual violence), but my favorite thing about it is the characters. It seems to be a theme in my requests for this exchange that I'm interested in disability: I love the conversation between these two in episode 3 where they talk about their respective injuries and choices, I love Su Mengzhen's insistence on setting the terms of his own life and body and treatment all the way up to the very end, and I love that they get to work with their limitations and still be graceful.
I would need to rewatch the show to be able to write detailed prompts, and I definitely won't have time to do that before the letter-finalizing deadline, so my "prompt" is basically: I'd love to read anything about their backstories, especially about Di Feijing's relationship with Lei Chun or about Su Mengzhen's relationship with Yang Wuxie. Or, if you want to write about both of my requested characters interacting in the same fic, that would obviously be amazing too! For something more solo-character-focused, I refer you to my aforementioned love of political intrigue. I think a fic about Su Mengzhen managing his declining health over the years would also be a delight to read.

Prompts: I was always sad that there weren’t more interactions between Vincent and Heather because I thought their power dynamic is interesting. I love that Vincent knows more about the world and what Heather represents than she does but gives very little. Just enough to make her freak out and question reality. So, any story based on that would be amazing. This is also one of the few fandoms I lean into the A/B/O situation-minus the animal part-where I think Vincent watching/hunting Heather would fit really well, waiting for his chance to strike. Honestly, go crazy with this one. AU’s, gore, torture of any kind, seriously…this pairing is one where the author can lose their self and I will be happy.

He is constantly trying to get her to crack and she is always putting up her walls. I would love to see a story where maybe Holder relapses and goes to her for help while in a drugged out state. Or, maybe a story where they’re on a case and Sarah is kidnapped, forced to take a drug as a warning to Holder and he has to help her through it and the aftermath. Honestly, I would love a story where it’s a play on their power dynamic but in a darker, more serious tone that touches on Holder’s drug past with of course a romantic aspect as well.

I’ve been curious too about how this play would look through Hade’s eyes and his lust for Eurydice once he tempted her into the Underworld. Even though he says ‘the girl means nothing to me’ she does in the sense she is another object for him to posses. What would happen if she tried to run away? Or if she holds back from joining his side? How does Persephone deal with all of this? I love the idea too of Persephone joining in and toying with Eurydice as well for Hades.

(I’ve only watched S1 and S2, so nothing after that. I might watch S4, but I thought the end of S2 would have been a great place to leave the show, with them opening the door to go out into the “real” world).
My DWN of "no excessive gore" and "no graphic descriptions of rape" might seem incompatible with "Canon typical violence" as this *is* Westworld, especially since the hosts have no choice but to enjoy sex with humans, and can't refuse to do anything. There's a grey area in there, so if in doubt, asks the Mods to ask.
Poor Teddy! He really seems to be one of those Hosts that will always end up screwed over, no matter what - it's the way his story was designed.
I don't ship Teddy with anyone, and I'm not averse to him / with anyone, although I found him and Dolores a bit dull. Him and Wyatt is interesting, and is him and The MiB.
I’d love something about his previous “Life”, maybe when he was the sheriff, before everyone died.
And was he programmed for any other roles before he was the mysterious bounty hunter?
What about his relationship with "Wyatt", how far did it go, how did it fit with "Dolores"?
And he died the most in the park (I think?) - Why?
And he would have had the most reprogramming and the most trips back to the workshop. Did that affect his programming? How did they make sure he was still functional after all those deaths?
What about if no host ever found the way to he centre of the maze, what would happen in the future for him?
What future scenarios might there have been?
The MiB trying to corrupt him might be interesting too, as he is set up as "the good guy".

It is one of my all-time favourite games, and I could happily play it all day (and I have!). That’s part of the reason I need fic for it, I’ve played it so much and spent so much time thinking about it while playing that my brain demands answers. I have my own ideas, but I’d love to hear other people’s, especially since this is such a teeny weeny fandom.
The heroes showing up would be okay too, I don’t mind. The -in-character part of my wants is more difficult, especially since you don’t get too much characterisatoin of any of them.
Wtf does Sumner do all day in his tower? He’s always there!
And how does he get so many (basically infinite) power-ups?
And as he’s so powerful why did he need to drag the players into all of this?
And why doesn’t he just *tell* them where the runestones are?
And why bother with all those crystals to open the doors, just what is going on in that tower???
Garm is his brother, what’s their story?
And how did Garm meet up with Skorne? Why did he betray the world?
Oh, one of my favourite parts isn’t even in the main game - when you quit and it goes “game over”, there is a short scene with Sumner at this podium and Skorne’s fist punches through the wall and pulls him away. I love it! And swat an excellent starting point for a fic!

Make me cry, please. Crush my heart and stomp on it. Make Phoenix die falling from that bridge and having his stupid, foresight-devoid spirit floating in the hospital room when Miles arrives. He can watch Miles have a breakdown and feel miserable about it. Then he can spend his eternal spirit life haunting Miles in Germany the way he always wanted, only he probably imagined it being a bit more reciprocal. Make Phoenix wish upon a star that he could be with Miles wherever he goes, and have it come true in the worst way. If there's one thing he ought to have learned as a lawyer, it's that wording matters.
Whatever AU you have in mind, I want to see it. 🥰 I think A Christmas Carol would work especially well. Perhaps Miles as the demon prosecutor who has no compassion for those he sends to jail, innocent or otherwise. All the ghosts would be Phoenix lol, and future Phoenix is a hanged version of him. Alternatively, a fun frolic would be lovely as well. Hogwarts/wizard/magic AU?
I think it would be fun for Phoenix to have almighty but subtle god powers, Haruhi Suzumiya-style. I've always found his turnabouts to be a bit unlikely, almost as if at the critical moment, he re-makes reality to fit his theory. I think an AU where everyone around him is trying to keep reality stable around him would be cool. Possibly the Feys are aware, but Phoenix himself isn't—he's just reshaping reality and thinking it's always been like this. An endless-eight style time loop would be fun too!
I love to roll in angst, and I love when the stakes are high and someone's dying or possibly already dead. Paradoxically, I'm mad forever about Edgeworth and his big, stupid chooses death year. Regardless of whether he meant it, it seems unnecessarily cruel that he just. . . was alive and didn't mention it for a whole year and let Phoenix think he was dead. I'd love to see a work where he's literally unable to get in contact. Amnesia or a coma, or perhaps he's been blasted to space like a stray piece of incriminating evidence by a desperate villain, and has to keep himself alive until he can get back to Earth.
These are just stray thoughts. Feel free to run with any other ideas too!

- For Miles or Phoenix to end up with anyone other than each other. A bunch of my prompts seem to have death in them, hah. It's fine with me if one of them dies permanently and the other is alone and sad, but I'd rather not see either of them move on and live happily ever after with someone else. Cruel, I know!

I would love for these two to enter a competition (real or made up, either is fine) and go through all the rounds and angst about whether they advance lol. It could even be the Chopin competition again. They could even both play Concerto No. 1 in e minor, multiple times if it inspires you!
Perhaps they could compete against the creator's self-insert OC. I love discussions about your favorite pieces and sections, and the techniques, and how you feel when you play it. 🥰
I think a multiverse-type situation would work for these two! Shuhei is sick of playing second fiddle and living in Kai's shadow. Somehow, he's offered a way into another universe. He sets out in search of a world where he's the best, or at least better than Kai at something. Anything. So in one world they're artists, maybe in another they're athletes. . . does he ever prevail? Does he come to make peace or even love his own world? Does he ever get back? I also think it would be sweet if Kai goes on a quest to find him. 💖
Or perhaps Shuhei makes a stupid, ill-advised wish that he could be the best, and it comes true by Kai being wiped from existence and history. Then Shuhei has to go and undo his wish. Or perhaps Kai still exists but he isn't a pianist. I think it would be heartbreaking to have a scene where Shuhei finds Kai and starts to teach him the piano again. Kai struggles with a simple piece, and Shuhei has all these tumultuous feelings while they play.
Maybe they get thrown back in time and play a pivotal role in some composer's greatest creation 👀
Schubert's Fantasia in f minor for four hands is my favorite piece. (No pressure to include it! Just seemed the sort of thing that might be relevant to this request.)

Thanatos/Zagreus
Thorn of Thanatos, A Friendly Wager, and Skelly's third stupid prize. The three achievements that caused me the most grief.
- Thorn of Thanatos - equip the butterfly and get it to 30%, done by getting through fights without getting hit
- A Friendly Wager - beat Charon in two successive fights
- Skelly's third useless trinket - defeat Redacted on 32 heat
I think it would be charming to see a narrative of Zagreus attempting these challenges, or possibly something where the different weapon aspects play a role. If he meets some other gods who weren't in the game, I'd love that too: Hestia, Apollo, Hera, and Hephaestus. He could also meet some other ancient heroes such as Atalanta or Daedalus.
Than, my beloved 🥺 I just want to see a lot of him every which way. I get happy whenever he shows up in game. I'd love if he'd throw down with another god for Zagreus's sake. Maybe he'll even have a hand in getting Zagreus that last trinket. 💖
Maybe they'll help another couple reconcile like with Achilles and Patty, or with Orpheus and Eurydice. I don't care how many times it's been done, I'll never tire of it.
Maybe they can decorate/cultivate that dark little garden in the House of Hades. I want to decorate it so much! Go out, pillage some gems, and use them to buy some plants from the House Contractor. Or spend some time decorating the House of Hades. It's so soothing.
Maybe a body swap? They're opposites in every way, so it would be funny for them to have to be each other!
Asterius/Theseus
Cutest, weirdest (b)romance in this world and the next! Theseus is such a blowhard. Does his skull rattle like his chariot? Why does the dignified, honorable Asterius put up with this fool?
I think a sort-of poetic piece where they fight a thousand times (not all shown in the work lol), and their fights gradually soften with time and turn into lingering touches, would be so lovely.
Lol I think it would be funny if they split up for a bit and tried to make it on their own, and each fail disastrously. . . they come back to find that Heracles or someone has made a mess of their arena. Or worse: their Elysium-neighbor Patroclus has made a success of it, and he's doing way better than they ever did! Will they have to challenge Patty for their arena back?
Achilles/Patroclus
Make me cry. Make me grieve as much as Song of Achilles did, and more.
I love big, stupid sacrifices, especially when the other can watch and sob and wail and be helpless to stop it. Maybe instead of being a servant of the House, Achilles's contract earns him a special torture room in Tartarus. Like Sisyphus's room, only crueler. He's chained and whipped, or worse, and one day Pat finds him. And. . . what does Pat do? Gnash his teeth and go on a quest and free Achilles somehow? Or does he pick up a whip and join in?
Or perhaps one of them makes a mistake that gets their spirit trapped somewhere. The other returns to find their lifeless body. If the whole work were just someone crying over someone's body, I'd love every word or page of it. And then they can find the trapped spirit somehow and return it to its shade.
I think it would be funny if they had to take over Asterius and Theseus's arena for a week or a century, some amount of time. And if they had a special fusion attack, where they merge into one fighter, DBZ-style. Fusion. . . HA!

Patience and Fortitude
I think it would be cool to see a work focused on these two through the ages. Patience and Fortitude were there in the school just a few years after its founding, and since then they've just set up shop in there, feeding on students. I would love to see where they came from, possibly something about how the first maw-mouths were born/made, how they each spent their early years, and how they found the school. Was there jostling when the second one arrived? Did they compete for resources before finally taking one door each? What were some major battles they fought? Which one ate Sir Alfred Cooper Browning, and was there a battle? What does it feel like to be a maw-mouth?
Can you hear the thoughts of all the millions of people you've devoured?
What did it feel like to have your outer layers scorched off by mortal flame? When those spirits were suddenly cut off from your consciousness? When you lose a piece of yourself, do you grieve?
They are probably far less human than I'm imagining them to be lol.
Sir Alfred Cooper Browning
Sir Alfred Cooper Browning was the genius architect artificer who designed the Scholomance, and then he went back to do a repair on the cleansing mechanism, and was devoured by a maw-mouth. Ooof.
I'd love to see sort of a prequel-type situation, following Alfred as he designs and builds the school, and then struggles to solve its first difficulties. Here are some topics it might cover:
- Alfred's early life (and possibly his encounteres with mals)
- How he became a great artificer
- His family, friends, and/or love life
- The social struggles and politicking involved in getting the school built
- In-depth, complex discussions of design/architectural/engineering problems and how he solved them. (The solutions do not need to be realistic, but I'd love for these to have an in-universe basis, and sound logical. For example, I loved the discussion near the end of The Last Graduate where Alfie gave an in-depth explanation of why the cleansing mechanism won't work longer than 4 years. I wonder if Alfie is related to Sir Alfred.)
- The turmoil, guilt, and grief he may or may not feel when he hears about students dying and mals getting into the school
- His eventual attempt to repair the cleaning mechanism, and his death
These are just ideas. Feel free to use any or none of them, or to come up with your own!
Li Shan Feng
He's one of three people to ever destroy a maw-mouth in recorded history. It took him a week, and three people on his team died, but in the end he emerged from the maw-mouth and restored his enclave to greatness. This dude was just a name in a textbook, a footnote in Maleficaria Studies. Turns out he's alive and well, dominus of the Shanghai Enclave, and probably about to become a major character.
I'd love to see a work about what happened to the Shanghai Enclave when the maw-mouth took over, and his battle to destroy it. Backstory about Li Shan Feng would be lovely too (such as his early life, family/friends/romances, etc). I'd especially love to see some in-depth logistics: how they handled the magic in their battle, what tools they used, what spells and strategies they devised, how they practiced, who were the people chosen for the mission, and how they were chosen. I'd love to hear about the ones who died, and what happened to the ones who lived. I would especially love to see the magic and strategy explained in a way that's logical in-universe, similar to the way the end-of-year battles are written (the mission to repair the cleansing mechanism in A Deadly Education, and the grand graduation scheme in The Last Graduate).
Other Comments
I would love a work focusing on any combination of these characters. For example a work about Patient and Fortitude where Sir Alfred makes an appearance would be lovely. Or a two-chapter work, where the first chapter is about Sir Alfred, and the second is about Li Shan Feng. Or a work about just one of them would be lovely too! • I would love a Yustav POV of anything in canon! The OG work has a couple bits of Yus POV of major events, but in the manhwa adaption form we really only get subtle hints from his expression. I'm all spoilered up to the ending (and also own some of the ebooks), so any point in the story/canon is fine!
• Outside POV of Ran is another potentially really fun idea. The story is primarily from her perspective. One of the benefits of the manhwa style is that it does allow for showcasing how the MC has some cognitive disconnects from how the other characters think. Maybe the Second Prince has more thoughts ^TM. Otherwise, OC or minor character perspective of just how many gender role/societal expectations Ran is unthinkingly bowling through as a modern girl in a position of feudal power would be interesting. Maybe a Lachia resident POV on the improvements and changes during her reign.

What I like about Scholomance:
• El's an unreliable narrator,

• the moral dilemna-ism without subscribing to one particular school of ethical thought,
• a bit mission-fic-y while building towards a bigger plot
• El&Orion blasting through mals.
Prompts:
• Maybe an alternative or outside POV of one of the big "impossible" runs in the second book. To El the entire thing is old hat, but the implication is that it's basically un-doable for anyone else. I think Aadya & Chloe & Liu are especially interesting since they're on her squad so to speak and thus have to basically do every run El does. However true outside POV or other character POVs would also be interesting to me.
• I really also like the central Chloe&Liu&Aadhya&El developing friendship, so focusing on how they're being legitimate friends would be great. We have the three girls becoming friends with El over the years in three very different ways. What about one of their POVs?
• Maybe a Lisel&Alfie or Lisel/Alfie backstory? Lisel POV?
• Orion being a human disaster is amusing to me, so anything in that theme is nice. Orion's parents hearing about his dating El would also be quite funny. Orion’s parents reacting to Orion’s human disaster behavior and their continual mitigation attempts are also amusing to me.
• Alternatively, a fluffy El/Orion over-write of that cliffhanger ending would be neat too!

Sou very clearly lets off people blatantly breaking the law if it’s in his judgment that’s the right thing to do.

What undercurrents are there?
• Alphard and/or Tom convince Harry the timeline they're in is really an alternative dimension and so she drags them all into her timeline. How do Alphard and/or Tom react? I love the idea of one of them or both of those two finding out about "Harry Potter, Girl-Who-Lived" and everything else she's done since she started Hogwarts. Or drag the entire Hogwarts population into the other dimension! How much chaos happens? What’s the fallout? Maybe Hermione starts debating Alphard and/or Tom on magic theory, she's been keeping notes on which "rules of magic" Harry's been breaking (i.e. the accio in the Triwizard Tournament).
• Hermione’s running list of all the time Harry violates the established rules and theoretical limits of magic.
• Tom makes Harry’s wardrobe—what does he make? Tom Riddle making an entire fashion collection as a courting gift for Harry Potter is hilarious to me.
• I really love Alphard/Harry as an AU ship. Since WHMT Tom seemed to have been aromantic in the first timeline and is head over heels for Harry in this one, I think Alphard could be mostly attracted to men but still attracted to Harry. How would Alphard/Harry play out? I would also love to see this as Alphard/Harry if they got dragged to Harry's OG timeline and Sirius' reaction.
• Outsider POV of Harry & quidditch would also be interesting to me!
• Tom trying to sabotage Alphard/Harry was hilarious, what else does he do?
• What about Alphard’s growing realization of who Tom Riddle is as a person, outside of the perfect persona Tom’s been maintaining for the last several years?
• The softest, best of all possible worlds ending where Harry drags Alphard and Tom into her future timeline. Harry saves her friends trapped in the DoM. Alphard and Tom play politics and get Sirius exonerated. Sirius ends up as guardian and de facto parent to the three of them.
• How does the Hogwarts gossip grapevine work in regards to Harry Potter (Harry Evans)’s antics? Characters from the two timelines compare notes and try to reconcile Harry Potter and Harry Evans or Harry Evans and Harry Potter.
• Harry-as-unwitting-god is just entertaining to me (and one of the “better than canon” explanations to me in general, which is why this is one of the HCs I share with TCM)

For Howard/Maura, I am so fascinated by this pairing. The break-up scene was so heartbreaking for so many reasons and one of them is you can see Howard still cares about her but he just can't break out of his own box (both toxic masculinity and his own far-right paradigm) long enough to accept her, even though she's pretty much exactly what he was looking for in s4 when he asked out every woman at the station. So what could happen to change that? Maybe Maura ends up in one of the hostage situations Hunter has to negotiate and he realizes he shouldn't have walked away, or he realizes he treated Maura badly in the wake of Ballantine’s breakdown? Alternatively, maybe Hunter's the one getting held hostage or in some other kind of danger and Maura saves him?

For Bryce/Justin, there were so many things I wanted to know about their dynamic - when did Justin start basically living at Bryce's house? Did Amber ever try to come get him back? What if Bryce had had an attack of conscience in s2 instead of 3 and had been the one to go find Justin on the street?
For Bryce/Tyler, we only got those 2 scenes and I wanted so much more. Did Bryce follow up with Tyler after Tyler told him what happened? Was that what finally made Bryce realize how horrible what he had done was? Were there any earlier plans to get back at Monty that were abandoned? If Bryce and Tyler had had a relationship, how would the rest of the cast react? How would Mr. Porter react if Tyler was the one Bryce had been describing instead of Ani and he'd figured it out?

I'm a fan of both the anime and the manga, so feel free to pull from both/either as you see fit!
What I always come back to with these characters is the scene in Sanctuary Arc where Shiryu tells the story about the rabbit that jumped into the fire to feed the hunter, and says that after this battle he's not going to let Shun fight anymore because Shun is too gentle to live a life as violent as the life of a Saint. I'd love to see them actually get a chance to talk about that! I think it's great that the two of them share the trait of performing best under pressure, with (in my opinion) the main difference being that Shiryu tends to put that pressure on himself on purpose so he can win a fight he was going to get into no matter what, whereas Shun tries everything to avoid having to fight but is absolutely terrifying when all his other options are cut off.
Even though Shiryu is the only one of the two who has a recognizable disability, I think there's an interesting case to be made that Shun's overall constitution functions similarly within the fiction—going all the way back to when Ikki insisted on taking his place on Death Queen Island, it's obvious that Shun's perceived weakness (whether physical or emotional) is a major factor in how people treat him and what they think he is or isn't capable of, and I think that's another fascinating point of similarity between them.
I'm really fond of fics that take the trauma of being basically a child soldier more seriously than canon does. Survivor's guilt, PTSD which they don't have the words for, chronic pain from old injuries that never quite healed right—I love all of that and more!

I'm really interested in how their relationship evolves over the years! I would love to learn more about what Ryuho's training was like before he left for the Palaestra, and how he spends his time when he's home from school… and post-canon, how does his relationship with Shiryu change, and what stays the same? If you want to include Shunrei I'd be delighted! I don't remember exactly how it goes, but I'm pretty sure I remember there being a scene where Shiryu pretends to be hurt worse than he is so that Ryuho will push himself to the limit, and then Ryuho passes out, and Shiryu is like "hm I guess I pushed him too hard" and gives him a little talk about how it's important to know your own limits, and I just thought it was so cute (also character development for Shiryu who used to do that to himself all the damn time!).
Ryuho &/ Shun
They’re just so fucking cute and I’m here for anything from fluffy gen to gritty hurt/comfort to filthy porn (sex pollen, anyone?). I like how Shun is Ryuho’s sort-of-doctor (not in a medical kink way, but in a hurt/comfort way), and I like that Shun was always the tiny fluffy adorable one among the original cast but Ryuho is even tinier (although probably equal in fluffiness and adorableness) and so Shun gets to be the tall one and the protective one for once. The only thing I’m not interested in is a fic about why that age difference would be a terrible idea IRL; if you’re writing this as a sexual or romantic relationship rather than a gen one, I want it to be a good thing for both of them.
Here’s an incredibly weirdly specific concept that’s been rattling around in my head for a while, if you want it: something appeals to me in a genre-savvy and slightly fourth-wall-break-y sense about the fact that Shun is theoretically supposed to be in his late 30s or early 40s in Omega but he actually doesn’t look any older than he did in the original anime (when he was supposed to be, what, 13?). Sure, you can say “it’s just the art style” to a certain extent, but Seiya and Shiryu do actually look like adults in Omega to me, so… who knows! I would like to see this explored as one of those “this is actually horrifying if you take it seriously” kinds of things: the slow, creeping existential terror of realizing that your body is doing something as profoundly abnormal as not aging; the fruitless search for medical answers; maybe a resolution about why this is happening, but maybe not!

I'm so glad that FFFX let us put a couple more nominations in during the signup period, because I finished watching this drama a couple days after the main round of noms closed and I went "oh my GOD, I need to request this". The political intrigue between the different houses alone could sustain me for months (and I love that it feels "grittier" than a lot of other dramas I've watched recently, especially in not shying away from depicting sexual violence), but my favorite thing about it is the characters. It seems to be a theme in my requests for this exchange that I'm interested in disability: I love the conversation between these two in episode 3 where they talk about their respective injuries and choices, I love Su Mengzhen's insistence on setting the terms of his own life and body and treatment all the way up to the very end, and I love that they get to work with their limitations and still be graceful.
I would need to rewatch the show to be able to write detailed prompts, and I definitely won't have time to do that before the letter-finalizing deadline, so my "prompt" is basically: I'd love to read anything about their backstories, especially about Di Feijing's relationship with Lei Chun or about Su Mengzhen's relationship with Yang Wuxie. Or, if you want to write about both of my requested characters interacting in the same fic, that would obviously be amazing too! For something more solo-character-focused, I refer you to my aforementioned love of political intrigue. I've split this into ship and solo but you can probably draw from either of them.
Some thoughts on Frenchie/Kimiko:
- Holidays in Europe (for them and me, the reader)
- Honeymoon in Marseille (metaphorical, please don't have them marry)
- Marseille has a big crime issue... Frenchie as damsel in distress (just don't make him incompetent), Kimiko has to save Frenchie from a bad situation he gets into because of his past, from a simple robbery, from a supe
- Kimiko gets to kick ass, they both do their parts supporting each other and the result is awesome
- Lots of first time for Kimiko (see my long list of kinks)
- Kimiko getting to enjoy Frenchie's masochism/submission (I like this to be more fluffy than grimdark, but I do not want him to be "fixed" or "cured" and become "normal")
