Merging X&Y Version with Main Video Game Series would be my preference as someone who nominates for Pokemon in exchanges. While X&Y is a distinct subunit of the main series, all of the main series games are set in the same world and characters from one game can sometimes be met in another, with the same characterization and personality. Additionally, as someone who nominates ships for characters whose main appearance is in different games, having to make a crossover for characters who canonically exist in the same universe is counterintuitive.

The Special Children are a group of people in Supernatural who have abilities given to them by demons. Sam is one of them. There’s like 5-ish who actually had any real screen time on the show.

For Batfamily Members I didn’t have any specific person in mind, and I didn’t want to limit the creator to a specific bond between Dick and a family member. I just wanted the dynamic of Dick with multiple people in his family, instead of a fic about only Dick & Bruce or only Dick & Jason, etc.

The “morally ambiguous older man” thing is a thing in fandom to refer to what’s called Dick’s Harem of Morally Ambiguous Older Men, a roulette wheel who I would be absolutely fine receiving any of. But I understand if you don’t want to accept it; if you don’t can I just delete it and put in a new nom? There are only 5 slots per fandom available, I don’t want to lose one.

As someone in the DCU fandom, Dick/morally ambiguous older man and Dick & Batfamily made sense as nominations to me. I would say that Dick & Batfamily Members would be clear to almost everyone (and if you do approve, I might add Alfred & Batfamily as well). Dick/Morally Ambigious Older Man might cause some small existential crisis over whether someone is evil or truly morally ambiguous etc, or if Roman counts because he's an unusual choice for Dick's Older Evil Men Harem.

However there's a strong possibility that I think of DC fandom in a similar twist as the nominator, and other folks will argue for an hour over whether Steph qualifies.

But directly to withthekey, let me know what nominations you're going for and we can coordinate?

Some other nonspecific Supernatural nominations have now been added, like "Sam & Demons" or "Sam & Hunters" - if those are yours, please either talk me through what specific group of canon or original characters you meant, or remove them. These seem to be like plot prompts rather than relationships? And of course if they are not your nominations, please disregard.

Thanks for explaining what you intended with Batfamily. I think in this exchange, a combination of some specific relationships + prompting more widely would work best. In a huge number of situations, a shared understanding within pockets of fandom is sufficient for common ground between a creator and recipient; but I have to mod the other whatever-percent, too, and when checking works I would like to be able to quickly tick off what characters should appear.

Please indeed feel free to substitute other nominations. I'm hoping to give people ~2 nom queries posts' worth of warning that I may reject a tag - we'll see how I go with that as the nominations pile up.

No - thank you for the suggestion, but I do not want to approve Dick Grayson & Any Other Gotham Heroes. I feel confident that if you prompt for Dick Grayson and indicate that you would be interested in various other people appearing, you will get a fic or a comic with multiple characters in it.

老洞 | The Old Miao Myth (TV 1983)

This fandom hasn't been queried yet, but I thought I should clarify one of the characters' names, since the canon is pretty obscure. The character I nominated as Jin Bong under the fandom "老洞 | The Old Miao Myth (TV 1983)" is the same character listed on the show's Wikipedia page as "Chin Pong" (展邦). I just chose a different spelling (following the Yale Romanization system) because it's closer to how the name is pronounced.
