Fandoms: For this beta offer, I'm willing to beta any non-RPF fandom except for Critical Role Campaign 3 (because I am avoiding spoilers for it) as long as you're alright with me potentially not knowing your fandom. In my experience, this kind of betaing doesn't really require canon knowledge as long as you can put up with questions like "Does [character from popular media who famously has a twin] have any siblings?"
Specific topics of expertise: I'm really good at big-picture editing and I am willing to use my powers to help you figure out how to make a short fic longer. I may suggest substantial edits, rather than simply adding on to the end. I'm also good at helping with stuff like "am I writing this in the right POV?" and "why doesn't this 1,500 word argument between these two characters feel like it's finished?"
What can you beta and when?: Ideally, you should already have a finished fic, but a nearly finished draft is also fine! The fic should be under 10k because you don't need my help making it longer if it's 10,000 words lol. Google docs or pdf files preferred. Turn around time probably ~a week, but nearer to the deadline I might be able to be quicker if you ask.

Content restrictions: I can't help with RPF. I won't read suicide, car crashes, or gore/graphic violence, but if these things aren't the backbone of your whole fic then I'm willing to work with a lightly censored draft. I also can't help with PWP works (because there's no plot, lol) but I am willing to read sex scenes of basically all kinds and can help with porn-with-plot on the plot side of things.

Also, I can't promise SPAG help or really any sentence-level editing beyond pointing out if something is confusing.

Fandoms: I'm willing to copy edit or proofread works for any fandom. Let me know which type you're requesting and if you have any areas of concern when you send me your work.

Specific topics of expertise: I'm offering copy editing and proofreading. Copy editing is more substantive and includes a big-picture look at your story, plus checking spelling/grammar, overall consistency of feel/voice, transitions, syntax, sentence or paragraph structure, word choice and flow. Consider it a vibe check to make sure your work is succeeding at what you want it to do.

Proofreading deals more with writing mechanics, including checking spelling/grammar, misspellings or typos, punctuation and capitalisation. This is more of a final check to polish your work before posting.

What can you beta and when?: I will beta anything except stories focusing heavily on pregnancy, breastfeeding and/or inflation. For the avoidance of doubt, yes, I will beta all Archive warnings, ratings and categories. Please let me know what you intend to tag your work with when you send it so I can be aware.

I will take your lead on lingusitic choices like z vs s and u (ie. color/colour).

I can give you a turnaround time of about 3 days or 72 hours for 10k. I prefer Google Docs and would rather work with completed stories (I will not proof your work more than once). Assuming there are no extensions, I will not start a beta sent my way after Tuesday 20 February ends in all timezones. I'll confirm with you before I start.

What can you beta and when? (Media, content, length, doc types, availability by calendar): I prefer to work in Google docs. I’d need at least a week, since my schedule will require that I break up the work into little bits over that many days. I probably shouldn’t commit to anything over 15k, even with that lead time.
