Thank you for your interest in pinch hits! Pinch hits are due 22 January 2022. To claim a pinch hit, please reply here with your AO3 name.

Minimum requirements: An art gift must be a completed comic at least 10 pages or 40 panels long; a fic gift must be a story at least 10,000 words long. You can also fulfil a pinch hit by giving two complete half-length works, if your recipient has opted into that for the fandom(s) you are creating in. Any work must be for a fandom your recipient has requested and one character/relationship/worldbuilding tag requested in that fandom, and must avoid their DNWs.

Some of the pinch hits below can be claimed by creators who are willing to offer one fic of 5,000+ words or one comic of 20+ panels. This varies by fandom as well as by request. Please be clear if that's what you're offering - otherwise I'll assuming you're claiming all of a pinch hit. Thank you!

We have arrived at the year and the month in which works are due. Please plan to get your work in by the end of 22nd January 2022 in EST, as (if signed up) this guarantees you (a) gift(s) of your own.

Additional Requests
You may have noticed that in the most recent pinch hit post, pinch hit 39 has an additional request and additional media/length options for some previous requests.

In this exchange, it is not my policy to ask you to add requests in the situation where a pinch hitter has not stepped forward to claim your prompts. I would like us all to get gifts for fandoms and characters we're excited about. However, fffx has a very long writing period, and it's natural to fall in love with new things across such a long time. So if you want to add a request because there's something new you'd be just as keen to get as your other things, you can comment with what you'd like me to add to your sign-up. It doesn't have to be in the tag set already.
