One of my favorite parts of the game were the scenes where people from different levels mix, so I would love to see more of that - could be some of the first meetings you set up in the game, could be something set after the game when people can travel the levels more freely, or anything you like. I'm also curious what might happen with the very top level of the tower after the game, or what might happen if anyone tries to leave it. What might the player character get up to after the game's true ending?

For either relationship involving him, I would love to see anything that explores Itsuki's strange between-worlds position. In general, I would also enjoy worldbuilding about the youkai vs human world, the history of youkai and human interaction, youkai curses/diseases, etc.

The Executive/Aoi: How did the Executive gain that soft spot for Aoi when one's a human-loving cat and one's a human-hating bird? How did they meet in the first place? (I kinda headcanon that Aoi hopped a ship to China for a while at one point and met the Executive there long before he was the Executive, but other ideas are fun as well!) Bonding again after Aoi's return - maybe they were together and rekindle a flame, maybe they weren't but losing Aoi for years has stirred something in the Executive. The Executive can tell that something is wrong with Aoi long before anyone else knows about the curse. Fun with shapeshifting abilities.
Executive/Itsuki: How might their dynamic change post-canon with Itsuki finishing growing up, Aoi back in at least some form, and Hanae mostly out of the picture for the moment? Perhaps without Hanae around, Itsuki ends up overworking himself, and the workaholic Executive spots it? Or perhaps Itsuki starts having nightmares (of giant flaming Aoi pinning him down? Hanae almost getting killed by the Executive? possessed!Hanae choking him? all of the above?) and the Executive gets involved when it's clear he's exhausted. The Executive has a Chinese motif, so perhaps he would be useful to consult and spend time with if the Mononokean receives a request from a Chinese youkai or something related to China? Concerned rumors started to spread that the Mononokean's new master is a human, and what better way to prove that there's nothing to worry about by spreading the news that the human-hating Executive is in a relationship with him?
Itsuki & Aoi: There are still so many unanswered questions about their past together. What exactly was the incident that led to Aoi taking him on, and how did they become so close afterward? Itsuki's parents are alive and well, according to the official fanbook, so, like, did Aoi pretend to be a distant relative or kind neighbor or something to cover up for taking him to the Underworld all the time, or what? How is their relationship going to be different once Aoi returns to their normal self and relieves the Princess, and what does Aoi think of everything Itsuki did to bring them back? Would also be down for any kind of pre-canon adventure or few with the two of them with bb!Itsuki learning the ropes of how to deal with clients at every stage of a request.

Things I especially like in this fandom: Morrowind is a fandom that suits poetic or experimental writing - Vivec's sermons are a little too far on the surreal side for me, but feel free to experiment if you like. I also like works that either expand on things that were limited by it being a game or lean into weirdness that comes from it being a game.

Nerevar & friends: The happier days before Red Mountain or how Nerevar connected with everyone, cracks that were already there or developing before everything fell apart under the mountain (and what did happen under the mountain? Is there any one true answer?), or what happened around Nerevar's death and its aftermath, like how the Tribunal dealt and didn't deal with it. I'd also be happy with an interpretation of any of their relationships as a (as nice or messy as you like) poly situation.
Voryn/Nerevar: Was there a particular reason that Nerevar earned Voyrn's loyalty besides uniting Resdayn? What were those things he says he did 'at your command, at great cost to myself, and my honor'? Were they lovers that never quite could be, lovers even before Nerevar got hitched, lovers despite his marriage, lovers in a (messy?) poly situation, something else? Sorcery always has great potential ranging from 'intentional romantic/sex magic' to 'whoops, turned out this weird enchanted artifact I brought you to ask about is a magical sex pollen bomb'. Time magic happens and one or both goes from post-Red Mountain to pre-Red Mountain.
Dagoth Ur/Nerevarine: Is this a Nerevarine who feels lonely in a strange land goes to take Dagoth Ur up on his offer to join him out of desperation? One who actually doesn't believe the reincarnation story, but they like the sound of power and woah, Dagoth Ur has the literal physique of a god? One who takes one look at the backstory and madness and thinks I can fix him? One with zero combat skills but maxed personality and speechcraft? Some other things I think could be interesting for this ship are body horror with the flesh-warping aspects of Dagoth Ur/corprus, digging into that kind of tsundere Dagoth Ur writing, the potential for identity issues when you're supposedly a reincarnation and your lover keeps calling you by another name, or other ways those dreams could go.
Nerevarine: I'd be interested in something about being the Nerevarine as identity, especially if they are or become a true reincarnation of him. Or anything with the Nerevarine running around exploring and enjoying life out of prison, finding some of the weird Easter Eggs, forgetting about the main quest or inventing new ways to solve the problems of Vvardenfell, seeing seasonal changes the game didn't have, accidentally exploiting the game systems, learning about Vvardenfell's customs, etc. Would also love interactions with NPCs of your choice (interfering in the Ajira & Galbedir rivalry? Letting all those Dwemer researchers know that Yagrum Bagarn is alive?)

I'm down with any interpretation of Hazuki's illness, since the anime isn't 100% clear, including an eating disorder or leukemia (which is what I believe it is in the manga), as long as it isn't fatal. For art: since they're rhythmic gymnasts, I think it could be fun to use their apparatus in a symbolic way (ribbons as red strings of fate? balls as mirrors? hoops as rings? Whatever you can think of!).

The epilogue of the anime didn't happen and Hazuki and Hikari grow towards being rivals for the ages. Doing a gala routine together - or performing together just for themselves when nobody is watching. Late-night practice together with pining or an excuse for more. I always love anything with period details or that evokes the feeling of the period, both in court (the court culture was ridiculous and glorious all at once, I love it) and out of it. I also love all kinds of spirits and ghosts, especially tsukumogami, and any use of magic.
Optional prompts:
Any kind of spooky happenings and/or spooky locations, whether the spirits are the ones up to trouble or the real demons are the ones in human hearts. Hiromasa is the one to save the day - perhaps Seimei has managed to get himself incapacitated or in trouble despite all of his magical knowledge, or perhaps knowing music (or the latest court gossip) is the key to smoothing everything over. Or perhaps Hiromasa gets targeted by a rival magician of Seimei's and needs help or rescue. Hiromasa comes across an interesting object and whoops it was haunted/magic. Inheriting Lady Aone's spirit had unexpected side effects; maybe Hiromasa simply gets an expanded lifespan like hers, or maybe it's something more interesting/scary than that. Something in Seimei's past (or Hiromasa's?) comes back to haunt them, perhaps literally. Foxes have different expectations of courting than Heian noble norms. In-universe writing - later scholars trying to make sense of what they got up to based on various diaries and stories and fanfiction, gossipy RPF about them from around the court (did you hear that Minamoto no Hiromasa saw Abe no Seimei without his hat?!), a diary that one of them keeps, paperwork that needs to get done after you save the capital from ruin....

* Julie Sakuma Dmitriyevich: Julie is my favorite character here - he carries a lot of pain and grief, but he tries to stay strong for Ai and the others, and while he can be cynical, he's also fiercely protective of those he cares about, and being the oldest of Ai's group, he would likely have a different view of the world. Being the father-figure of the group, how does Julie care for the others? How does he feel about having a family again? For backstory, there's his life with his wife and daughter (and Julie was quite young when his daughter was born), or you could explore his grief after their deaths. What about some father/daughter-bonding with Ai? How much does he tell Ai about his family, or does she ask him about her parents?
For romance, I ship him with Scar as they bond over Celica together, and also Julie/Dee; he's already been married once, so would he worry about comparing Scar to his deceased wife, or would the guilt both he and Dee carry lead to them reaching out to each other for comfort?

You can't go wrong with girls with swords, and all the yuri subtext is definitely a welcomed touch. I really liked the friendship between the girls, and I also enjoy the friends-to-lovers trope. All the sword-fighting is good too - even with utsushi, fighting aradama is no easy feat, and one of the girls being injured during battle is also ripe for hurt/comfort potential.
* Etou Kanami/Yanase Mai: When Kanami finally returns from the netherworld, how does Mai react? Does she finally take that chance to confess her feelings? Does their reunion turn intimate? Or are they immediately thrust into aradama-hunting missions again? What kind of aradama do they encounter? What if one of them was seriously injured during a mission? Or, for something more mundane, if one of them simply fell ill instead? For some role reversal, maybe it's Kanami's turn to take care of Mai? Or maybe they manage to steal a few romantic moments alone together? How does Kanami get along with Mai's sisters as her girlfriend?
* Itomi Sayaka/Yanase Mai: With Mai training new Toji and Sayaka part of the new elite guard, how do they find time to be alone together? Are they able to take missions together? What if Sayaka was seriously injured during one such mission? How would Mai care for her? Or maybe Mai is injured instead? Maybe a love confession comes when they're caught up in the moment of surviving a particularly brutal battle? How does Mai help Sayaka recover from the aradama experiments? What if those experiments were still being conducted in secret? Or, for something lighter, with how reserved Sayaka is, would she initially feel awkward about Mai's sisters as her new girlfriend?

Like its predecessor, Octopath Traveler II has a vibrant, intriguing setting, and of the eight travelers, Agnea is my favorite, and I particularly liked her relationships with Throné and Osvald. The world of Solista is vast, so I'd love to see more of their journeys together.
* Throné Anguis/Agnea Bristarni: The thief and the dancer! I'm always fond of opposites-attract couples, and these two are no exception. Do they fall in love during their journey together, or is it only after the journey is finished that they realize their feelings? Especially with Throné's past as an assassin, would she feel undeserving of romance, with Agnea convincing her otherwise? Or, maybe with Agnea's newfound fame, she's targeted by remnants of the Blacksnakes and it's up to Throné to save her? For something lighter, maybe Agnea takes to teaching Throné how to dance, leading to some romantic tension? Perhaps Throné decides to settle down in Cropdale with Agnea and Agnea is more than happy to share some of Cropdale's famous raspberries with her?
* Agnea Bristarni/Osvald V. Vanstein: The dancer and the fugitive scholar! More opposites-attract, and age gaps are always welcomed too. Osvald is also still grieving for his deceased wife Rita and it's clear how he's closed off his heart, so it'd also be interesting to explore how he warms up to Agnea over the course of their journey together. Because of the age difference, how hesitant would Agnea and Osvald be about acknowledging their feelings for the other? Who would muster the courage to confess first? Maybe a dangerous situation or a near-fatal injury leads to a realization of romantic feelings? After their journey, where do they go next? Does Agnea try to teach Osvald how to dance? How would Agnea get along with Osvald's daughter Elena?

* Melia Antiqua/Dunban: Melia and Dunban are my favorite characters here, so I'd love to see more of their post-canon lives. Both of them put on a brave face but still carry quite a bit of trauma and pain, and them bonding over that shared pain is something I enjoy about their relationship, and I'm also very fond of age gaps.
While restoring their homes, how often do they see each other? What quiet moments might they share together among all the reconstruction? Does Melia have nightmares about the loss of her home and family, or does Dunban still suffer lingering effects from his overuse of the Monado? Do they set out on a journey together to see how their world has changed? What dangers might they face on such a journey? Are there still fog beasts to worry about, or malfunctioning Mechon? When romance starts to blossom between them, what of the differences in lifespans between a Homs and High Entia? Both of them are guarded about their feelings, so what kind of injury or situation would it take to help them open up to each other?

What magical adventures (and misadventures) would they have together? What kind of magic would Ai specialize in? Given that Ai and Eva are the same age, if you place Eva and her friends into Ai's setting, maybe Eva's birth is just as inexplicable as Ai's? How would Eva's magic work in that case? Or, maybe Rivelle Realm is one of few places remaining that still has natural birth and death? How would Eva react to meeting a gravekeeper like Ai and learning about the state of the world outside Rivelle?

* Io/Yanase Mai: Sword girls and vampires! How would the powers of a toji work in the world of Code Vein? If Mai becomes a Revenant, how do those powers combine with those of a toji? Does Mai become the Successor of the Blood, with Io as her Attendant? How much does Mai remember of her previous life? Since Mai can be a fussy big-sister type, how would Io initially feel about that? After all, since it's an Attendant's role to ease their Successor's burdens, it's easy to imagine Io being perplexed by the role reversal. As they explore the setting together, when does romance begin to bloom between them, especially as either are no longer human? The both of them can potentially live forever, so how do they adjust to that idea of "eternity"? And of course, there's nothing quite like blood drinking to fend off frenzy to increase that romantic and sexual tension.

* Mylne & Reisalin "Ryza" Stout: Two adorable sweetheart alchemists; basically, I just want to see Ryza acting like a big sister to Mylne. After the events of the third game, when Ryza sets out on a journey to find an apprentice, maybe she stumbles upon Mylne's curious little forest? How would Ryza react to seeing a cat-eared girl and talking animals? What kind of questions would Mylne have about the world outside her forest? Is there some connection between the moonlings' alchemy and that of the Klint Kingdom's? Maybe Ryza takes Mylne as an apprentice and they start traveling together? What strange ruins might they stumble upon? What more do they learn about the darker side of alchemy? Would there be some kind of connection between the Oren's Underworld and the forest's Astral Realm?
* Melia Antiqua/Agnea Bristarni: Dancer and empress! How would they fit in the other's canon? In Bionis, which colony might Agnea be form, or was she one of the rare Homs living in Alcamoth? Do she and Melia meet before or after the fall of the titans? How would Melia's status as empress affect her growing romance with Agnea? Or, how would High Entia work with the lore of Solistia? Would Agnea know about High Entia when she first begins her travels, or are they merely considered a myth before she and her companions stumble upon the Solistian equivalent of Alcamoth? Regardless of which setting you choose, how does romance blossom between them, especially with how prim and proper Melia is in contrast to the bright and bubbly (and slightly clumsy) Agnea?

Relationship-wise, just about anything would be fine, as Edward doesn't get much chance to interact with a lot of the characters - who out of the other nations would he know or possibly have Damcyan be allied with? Romantic relationships between just about anyone would be fine too - my favorites would probably be Anna (although she dies early in the story, something pre-game with her would be great,) Cecil or Rosa or both, or Edge, but I'd be open to just about anything that's developed well.
For worldbuilding, there's a lot left unsaid about the history of this world and the various nations, how they interact with each other, and so forth, and I'd love to see just about anything about them more fleshed-out.

- Introducing two people from an "advanced" civilization that no one had ever suspected of existing to the Federation is guaranteed to be complicated, how would they handle this?
Claude/Rena/Precis:
- Taking the two girls off of Expel to meet the rest of the galaxy, perhaps in preparation for Expel joining the Federation.
- Alternately: Rena and Precis becoming college roommates and having to navigate a very long-distance relationship with their mutual boyfriend, who keeps being called away to space.
Ernest/Bowman/Ninay/Opera: I love the idea of these two couples meeting in a bar, and one of the pairs (probably the Tetragenes, since they're archeologists, after all) drag the other pair into a wild adventure, on Excel or perhaps somewhere in space. This is an OT4 that I usually think of as a Sedoretu of sorts (with Ernest/Bowman and Ninay/Opera + Ernest/Ninay and Opera/Ernest) but if you wanna go with a different configuration, or a straight OT4, go for it.

- Maddie's few attempts to interfere/assist with Sam's love life go very strangely awry.
I just love how the relationship develops between them. I'd be fine with anything, although I personally can't see a long-term romance working, but a QPP or short-term fling would be fine with me, or a close friendship. Their banter and personalities play off of each other nicely and I'd love to see more along those lines.

These three completely charmed me, from the spheres you got to see of their pilgrimage, and anything to flesh that out would be great. We know canonically that Braska was a disgraced Summoner, but he still had two loyal summoners that managed to get him to the end, and one that couldn't even let himself die before finding a way to protect his loved ones' family. That's devotion.
References to open relationships are fine - we know Jecht is married to Tidus's mother and that his Zanarkand is probably lost to him, so some mention of that would be fine.
Ideas:
- Just about anything with worldbuilding/backstory for these three, and how they each learn about it.
- Time-loop/trapped in the mind stuff with Jecht trying to survive while trapped in Sin's body by remembering the men he loved.
- The three of them in the Farplane - what is the Farplane even like? - and what happens when they reunite.

While I would like to see Harry trying to get better, there are often relapses and such on the way, so I'm okay with it being a bumpy road, but please don't make it hopeless. I'm not picky as to Harry's personality or archetype other than what I said above.
Ideas:
- Harry and Kim come back to keep Evart's plans for the village at bay, or at least make sure he doesn't hurt them in the process of whatever it is he's doing, and get closer to Lilienne in the meantime.
- It's possible for Harry to not be accepted back to the Precinct, if Kim is shot and Cuno isn't with you; what would happen if Harry wasn't allowed back, or even chose not to go back after the trauma of knowing that Kim was hurt because of him? Something along those lines would be great, with him going back and Lilienne helping get some sense back into him, and Kim coming back to make sure he's okay when he recovers enough... that might be an overly specific setup but I'd love to see where it goes after that!
- Harry gets in trouble during a case and says he wishes he could be with them, and Kim and Lilienne both agree.
- Kim and Lilienne attempt to teach Harry how to be better with Lilienne's kids.
- Married in the former church, now nightclub (do expressions of love ward off signs of the Pale encroachment? That's not required but it's interesting to think about.)
- A fun night at the disco/church/dance club.
- Do they live together in the village, or do they move somewhere else? Or do they live separately? How do their jobs factor into this?

Spoilers for Infinite Wealth (I know a few things but would still like to play the game myself. I have enough background on the rest of the series to be okay.) Things that move too far outside the setting (real-life Japan in 2019,) we can let the fantastic stuff come from Ichiban's imagination, as the other characters frequently play along with it anyway.
I've played Like a Dragon but not Infinite Wealth; I'd still love to see more fic about these four of just about any sort. I've requested a polycule because I love the idea but I'm okay with some of the individual relationships being QPP or some of them being metamours, not everyone has to necessarily be *with* everyone else in any particular way. It's up to creator interpretation.
Ideas:
- Going on that vacation to a nice hotel that they talk about at one point in the game, but things go hilariously sideways, because of course nothing can be simple.
- The job system in the game leaves lots of room for shenanigans, and since some characters are better at some jobs than others it gives some opportunities to "train" each other - for instance, Saeko having to train the other three at how to be good Hosts, or the four of them trying to form a band for the lulz and Nanba being the most experienced musician.
- Feel free to use the business sidequest for ideas - do Ichiban's closest friends start getting requests for interviews from business publications? Maybe they end up deciding to help him with a promotion and things don't go as planned (because NOTHING ever goes as planned when Ichiban is involved.)
Relationship ideas if you want to go that route:
- Ichiban jokingly referring to the team as "love interests" until they decide to play along, maybe partially as a joke, but it doesn't turn out that way.
- Coming up with an unofficial ceremony for the group of them because they cannot be legally married as a group.
- Lots of people in Isezaki Ijincho are congratulating Ichiban on hearing about his relationship with some or all of the others. Bonus points if he's not actually committed to any of them at the time but brings it up after so many people keep mentioning it to him.
- Domestic stuff about how the four of them live together - do they always stay in the same place or do they have separate homes for whatever reason? How does the day-to-day of being in a relationship with multiple other people work for them?

General notes:
- I'm fine with blood/death/bones for this fandom. For obvious reasons.
- Considering how HtN ends, I know that the spirits are supposed to have died in the fight with the Resurrection Beast. Go ahead and work around that however you want. Some form of AU that uses the same universe as the books is fine. Or maybe this is taking place inside of another dream bubble/liminal space in the River. Maybe the Resurrection Beast just shatters them and they're able to put each other back together.
Abigail/Magnus/Ortus - These three show some great camaraderie as soon as they meet in Harrow's "play," with Abigail and Magnus immediately bonding with Ortus due to his love of history and epic poetry. I cannot take Magnus's "Stop flirting with my wife!" entirely at face value (I really like the idea that he's actually saying to stop flirting with his wife if he's not going to flirt with him too.) Would adore seeing these three having a chance to be alone together and just nerd out and enjoy each other's company.
Ortus/Mattias - Ortus's hero worship and Mattias's bemusement at how he's portrayed by the Noniad during the final fight amuse me, and I do wonder how the two of them would've interacted if they'd had longer to talk about how things really went back then. I just wanted them to have a chance to really interact and maybe to show Ortus that he really isn't chasing an impossible ideal.

For Sabin/Shadow and Shadow & Relm - I've always loved the potential for angst and Sabin's sunny disposition crashing up against Shadow's tragic past, and I've always thought that Shadow should've gotten a chance to make a relationship with Relm. Would really like to see something giving them that chance. It can take place in the game's timeline or after - Shadow is implied to have died in the Tower, but considering some of the things people have survived in FF games, it wouldn't be that much of a stretch for someone (maybe Sabin?) to come back and dig him out of the wreckage.
For Locke/Celes/Setzer - I love these three. I love the potential for complicated feelings between all three of them, how similar-yet-different their tragic backstories are. Would they help each other confront their demons or would they have to make things worse before they got better?
Other ideas:
- Fish-out-of-water narratives - could work for either, as Shadow is a commoner and Sabin is (technically) a prince and they'd have to deal with that, while Locke and Celes wouldn't know much about navigating "high society" and I'm fairly sure Setzer has to handle it sometimes.
- Rebuilding narratives - also works for either considering the state the world is left in after the game, any of them would have plenty to rebuild, literally or figuratively.
- Speaking of confronting demons, there's a sequence in the game where one character *literally* confronts his demons through magical means and it'd be really neat to see this applied to any of these.

Caraway has been one of my favorites for ages, and I would really like to know more about his relationship with Julia. He doesn't seem a cruel man, at least in his personal life, and he does seem concerned for Rinoa even though she is very much rebelling against him. What kind of home life do they have? His professional life is also pretty interesting, as is his relationship with Martine and Galbadia Garden; the arrangement that Galbadia Garden has with the Galbadian military is almost certainly something he approved of, so how much did he know about that entire mess? Were he and Martine friends, or perhaps something else at some point? It seems very likely, considering that Caraway visits Martine after his disgrace.
Pretty much anything based off of the above would be really interesting. I don't mind background Julia/Laguna or whatnot, and it definitely puts some angst into his relationship with her, since her most famous song is basically a love song about a man who'd never come back - but I'd rather it not be a major focus in the story. (I don't personally think that Laguna was sent away directly by Caraway; Julia had many admirers. But if that angle inspires you, go for it.)

What might the player character get up to after the game's true ending?

For either relationship involving him, I would love to see anything that explores Itsuki's strange between-worlds position. In general, I would also enjoy worldbuilding about the youkai vs human world, the history of youkai and human interaction, youkai curses/diseases, etc.

The Executive/Aoi: How did the Executive gain that soft spot for Aoi when one's a human-loving cat and one's a human-hating bird? How did they meet in the first place? (I kinda headcanon that Aoi hopped a ship to China for a while at one point and met the Executive there long before he was the Executive, but other ideas are fun as well!) Bonding again after Aoi's return - maybe they were together and rekindle a flame, maybe they weren't but losing Aoi for years has stirred something in the Executive. The Executive can tell that something is wrong with Aoi long before anyone else knows about the curse. Fun with shapeshifting abilities.
Executive/Itsuki: How might their dynamic change post-canon with Itsuki finishing growing up, Aoi back in at least some form, and Hanae mostly out of the picture for the moment? Perhaps without Hanae around, Itsuki ends up overworking himself, and the workaholic Executive spots it? Or perhaps Itsuki starts having nightmares (of giant flaming Aoi pinning him down? Hanae almost getting killed by the Executive? possessed!Hanae choking him? all of the above?) and the Executive gets involved when it's clear he's exhausted. The Executive has a Chinese motif, so perhaps he would be useful to consult and spend time with if the Mononokean receives a request from a Chinese youkai or something related to China? Concerned rumors started to spread that the Mononokean's new master is a human, and what better way to prove that there's nothing to worry about by spreading the news that the human-hating Executive is in a relationship with him?
Itsuki & Aoi: There are still so many unanswered questions about their past together. What exactly was the incident that led to Aoi taking him on, and how did they become so close afterward? Itsuki's parents are alive and well, according to the official fanbook, so, like, did Aoi pretend to be a distant relative or kind neighbor or something to cover up for taking him to the Underworld all the time, or what? How is their relationship going to be different once Aoi returns to their normal self and relieves the Princess, and what does Aoi think of everything Itsuki did to bring them back? Would also be down for any kind of pre-canon adventure or few with the two of them with bb!Itsuki learning the ropes of how to deal with clients at every stage of a request.

Things I especially like in this fandom: Morrowind is a fandom that suits poetic or experimental writing - Vivec's sermons are a little too far on the surreal side for me, but feel free to experiment if you like. I also like works that either expand on things that were limited by it being a game or lean into weirdness that comes from it being a game.

Nerevar & friends: The happier days before Red Mountain or how Nerevar connected with everyone, cracks that were already there or developing before everything fell apart under the mountain (and what did happen under the mountain? Is there any one true answer?), or what happened around Nerevar's death and its aftermath, like how the Tribunal dealt and didn't deal with it. I'd also be happy with an interpretation of any of their relationships as a (as nice or messy as you like) poly situation.
Voryn/Nerevar: Was there a particular reason that Nerevar earned Voyrn's loyalty besides uniting Resdayn? What were those things he says he did 'at your command, at great cost to myself, and my honor'? Were they lovers that never quite could be, lovers even before Nerevar got hitched, lovers despite his marriage, lovers in a (messy?) poly situation, something else? Sorcery always has great potential ranging from 'intentional romantic/sex magic' to 'whoops, turned out this weird enchanted artifact I brought you to ask about is a magical sex pollen bomb'. Time magic happens and one or both goes from post-Red Mountain to pre-Red Mountain.
Dagoth Ur/Nerevarine: Is this a Nerevarine who feels lonely in a strange land goes to take Dagoth Ur up on his offer to join him out of desperation? One who actually doesn't believe the reincarnation story, but they like the sound of power and woah, Dagoth Ur has the literal physique of a god? One who takes one look at the backstory and madness and thinks I can fix him? One with zero combat skills but maxed personality and speechcraft? Some other things I think could be interesting for this ship are body horror with the flesh-warping aspects of Dagoth Ur/corprus, digging into that kind of tsundere Dagoth Ur writing, the potential for identity issues when you're supposedly a reincarnation and your lover keeps calling you by another name, or other ways those dreams could go.
Nerevarine: I'd be interested in something about being the Nerevarine as identity, especially if they are or become a true reincarnation of him. Or anything with the Nerevarine running around exploring and enjoying life out of prison, finding some of the weird Easter Eggs, forgetting about the main quest or inventing new ways to solve the problems of Vvardenfell, seeing seasonal changes the game didn't have, accidentally exploiting the game systems, learning about Vvardenfell's customs, etc. Would also love interactions with NPCs of your choice (interfering in the Ajira & Galbedir rivalry? Letting all those Dwemer researchers know that Yagrum Bagarn is alive?)

I'm down with any interpretation of Hazuki's illness, since the anime isn't 100% clear, including an eating disorder or leukemia (which is what I believe it is in the manga), as long as it isn't fatal. For art: since they're rhythmic gymnasts, I think it could be fun to use their apparatus in a symbolic way (ribbons as red strings of fate? balls as mirrors? hoops as rings? Whatever you can think of!).

The epilogue of the anime didn't happen and Hazuki and Hikari grow towards being rivals for the ages. I always love anything with period details or that evokes the feeling of the period, both in court (the court culture was ridiculous and glorious all at once, I love it) and out of it. I also love all kinds of spirits and ghosts, especially tsukumogami, and any use of magic.
Optional prompts:
Any kind of spooky happenings and/or spooky locations, whether the spirits are the ones up to trouble or the real demons are the ones in human hearts. Hiromasa is the one to save the day - perhaps Seimei has managed to get himself incapacitated or in trouble despite all of his magical knowledge, or perhaps knowing music (or the latest court gossip) is the key to smoothing everything over. Or perhaps Hiromasa gets targeted by a rival magician of Seimei's and needs help or rescue. Hiromasa comes across an interesting object and whoops it was haunted/magic. Inheriting Lady Aone's spirit had unexpected side effects; maybe Hiromasa simply gets an expanded lifespan like hers, or maybe it's something more interesting/scary than that. Something in Seimei's past (or Hiromasa's?) comes back to haunt them, perhaps literally. Foxes have different expectations of courting than Heian noble norms. In-universe writing - later scholars trying to make sense of what they got up to based on various diaries and stories and fanfiction, gossipy RPF about them from around the court (did you hear that Minamoto no Hiromasa saw Abe no Seimei without his hat?!), a diary that one of them keeps, paperwork that needs to get done after you save the capital from ruin....

Being the father-figure of the group, how does Julie care for the others? How does he feel about having a family again? For backstory, there's his life with his wife and daughter (and Julie was quite young when his daughter was born), or you could explore his grief after their deaths. What about some father/daughter-bonding with Ai? How much does he tell Ai about his family, or does she ask him about her parents?
For romance, I ship him with Scar as they bond over Celica together, and also Julie/Dee; he's already been married once, so would he worry about comparing Scar to his deceased wife, or would the guilt both he and Dee carry lead to them reaching out to each other for comfort?

You can't go wrong with girls with swords, and all the yuri subtext is definitely a welcomed touch. I really liked the friendship between the girls, and I also enjoy the friends-to-lovers trope. All the sword-fighting is good too - even with utsushi, fighting aradama is no easy feat, and one of the girls being injured during battle is also ripe for hurt/comfort potential.
* Etou Kanami/Yanase Mai: When Kanami finally returns from the netherworld, how does Mai react? Does she finally take that chance to confess her feelings? Does their reunion turn intimate? Or are they immediately thrust into aradama-hunting missions again? What kind of aradama do they encounter? What if one of them was seriously injured during a mission? Or, for something more mundane, if one of them simply fell ill instead? For some role reversal, maybe it's Kanami's turn to take care of Mai? Or maybe they manage to steal a few romantic moments alone together? How does Kanami get along with Mai's sisters as her girlfriend?
* Itomi Sayaka/Yanase Mai: With Mai training new Toji and Sayaka part of the new elite guard, how do they find time to be alone together? Are they able to take missions together? What if Sayaka was seriously injured during one such mission? How would Mai care for her? Or maybe Mai is injured instead? Maybe a love confession comes when they're caught up in the moment of surviving a particularly brutal battle? How does Mai help Sayaka recover from the aradama experiments? What if those experiments were still being conducted in secret? Or, for something lighter, with how reserved Sayaka is, would she initially feel awkward about Mai's sisters as her new girlfriend?

Like its predecessor, Octopath Traveler II has a vibrant, intriguing setting, and of the eight travelers, Agnea is my favorite, and I particularly liked her relationships with Throné and Osvald. The world of Solista is vast, so I'd love to see more of their journeys together.
* Throné Anguis/Agnea Bristarni: The thief and the dancer! I'm always fond of opposites-attract couples, and these two are no exception. Do they fall in love during their journey together, or is it only after the journey is finished that they realize their feelings? Especially with Throné's past as an assassin, would she feel undeserving of romance, with Agnea convincing her otherwise? Or, maybe with Agnea's newfound fame, she's targeted by remnants of the Blacksnakes and it's up to Throné to save her? For something lighter, maybe Agnea takes to teaching Throné how to dance, leading to some romantic tension? Perhaps Throné decides to settle down in Cropdale with Agnea and Agnea is more than happy to share some of Cropdale's famous raspberries with her?
* Agnea Bristarni/Osvald V. Vanstein: The dancer and the fugitive scholar! More opposites-attract, and age gaps are always welcomed too. Osvald is also still grieving for his deceased wife Rita and it's clear how he's closed off his heart, so it'd also be interesting to explore how he warms up to Agnea over the course of their journey together. Because of the age difference, how hesitant would Agnea and Osvald be about acknowledging their feelings for the other? Who would muster the courage to confess first? Maybe a dangerous situation or a near-fatal injury leads to a realization of romantic feelings? After their journey, where do they go next? Does Agnea try to teach Osvald how to dance? How would Agnea get along with Osvald's daughter Elena?

While restoring their homes, how often do they see each other? What quiet moments might they share together among all the reconstruction? Does Melia have nightmares about the loss of her home and family, or does Dunban still suffer lingering effects from his overuse of the Monado? Do they set out on a journey together to see how their world has changed? What dangers might they face on such a journey? Are there still fog beasts to worry about, or malfunctioning Mechon? When romance starts to blossom between them, what of the differences in lifespans between a Homs and High Entia? Both of them are guarded about their feelings, so what kind of injury or situation would it take to help them open up to each other?

Since Mai can be a fussy big-sister type, how would Io initially feel about that? After all, since it's an Attendant's role to ease their Successor's burdens, it's easy to imagine Io being perplexed by the role reversal. The both of them can potentially live forever, so how do they adjust to that idea of "eternity"? How would Ryza react to seeing a cat-eared girl and talking animals? What kind of questions would Mylne have about the world outside her forest? Is there some connection between the moonlings' alchemy and that of the Klint Kingdom's? Maybe Ryza takes Mylne as an apprentice and they start traveling together? What strange ruins might they stumble upon? What more do they learn about the darker side of alchemy? Would there be some kind of connection between the Oren's Underworld and the forest's Astral Realm?

Would Agnea know about High Entia when she first begins her travels, or are they merely considered a myth before she and her companions stumble upon the Solistian equivalent of Alcamoth? These three completely charmed me, from the spheres you got to see of their pilgrimage, and anything to flesh that out would be great. We know canonically that Braska was a disgraced Summoner, but he still had two loyal summoners that managed to get him to the end, and one that couldn't even let himself die before finding a way to protect his loved ones' family. That's devotion.
References to open relationships are fine - we know Jecht is married to Tidus's mother and that his Zanarkand is probably lost to him, so some mention of that would be fine.
Ideas:
- Just about anything with worldbuilding/backstory for these three, and how they each learn about it.
- Time-loop/trapped in the mind stuff with Jecht trying to survive while trapped in Sin's body by remembering the men he loved.
- The three of them in the Farplane - what is the Farplane even like? - and what happens when they reunite.

Ideas:
- Harry and Kim come back to keep Evart's plans for the village at bay, or at least make sure he doesn't hurt them in the process of whatever it is he's doing, and get closer to Lilienne in the meantime.
- It's possible for Harry to not be accepted back to the Precinct, if Kim is shot and Cuno isn't with you; what would happen if Harry wasn't allowed back, or even chose not to go back after the trauma of knowing that Kim was hurt because of him? Something along those lines would be great, with him going back and Lilienne helping get some sense back into him, and Kim coming back to make sure he's okay when he recovers enough... that might be an overly specific setup but I'd love to see where it goes after that!
- Harry gets in trouble during a case and says he wishes he could be with them, and Kim and Lilienne both agree.
- Kim and Lilienne attempt to teach Harry how to be better with Lilienne's kids.
- Married in the former church, now nightclub (do expressions of love ward off signs of the Pale encroachment? That's not required but it's interesting to think about.)
- A fun night at the disco/church/dance club.
- Do they live together in the village, or do they move somewhere else? Or do they live separately? How do their jobs factor into this?

Things that move too far outside the setting (real-life Japan in 2019,) we can let the fantastic stuff come from Ichiban's imagination, as the other characters frequently play along with it anyway.
I've played Like a Dragon but not Infinite Wealth; I'd still love to see more fic about these four of just about any sort. I've requested a polycule because I love the idea but I'm okay with some of the individual relationships being QPP or some of them being metamours, not everyone has to necessarily be *with* everyone else in any particular way. It's up to creator interpretation.
Ideas:
- Going on that vacation to a nice hotel that they talk about at one point in the game, but things go hilariously sideways, because of course nothing can be simple.
- The job system in the game leaves lots of room for shenanigans, and since some characters are better at some jobs than others it gives some opportunities to "train" each other - for instance, Saeko having to train the other three at how to be good Hosts, or the four of them trying to form a band for the lulz and Nanba being the most experienced musician.
- Feel free to use the business sidequest for ideas - do Ichiban's closest friends start getting requests for interviews from business publications? Maybe they end up deciding to help him with a promotion and things don't go as planned (because NOTHING ever goes as planned when Ichiban is involved.)
Relationship ideas if you want to go that route:
- Ichiban jokingly referring to the team as "love interests" until they decide to play along, maybe partially as a joke, but it doesn't turn out that way.
- Coming up with an unofficial ceremony for the group of them because they cannot be legally married as a group.
- Lots of people in Isezaki Ijincho are congratulating Ichiban on hearing about his relationship with some or all of the others. Bonus points if he's not actually committed to any of them at the time but brings it up after so many people keep mentioning it to him.
- Domestic stuff about how the four of them live together - do they always stay in the same place or do they have separate homes for whatever reason? How does the day-to-day of being in a relationship with multiple other people work for them?

- Considering how HtN ends, I know that the spirits are supposed to have died in the fight with the Resurrection Beast. Go ahead and work around that however you want. Some form of AU that uses the same universe as the books is fine. Or maybe this is taking place inside of another dream bubble/liminal space in the River. Maybe the Resurrection Beast just shatters them and they're able to put each other back together.
Abigail/Magnus/Ortus - These three show some great camaraderie as soon as they meet in Harrow's "play," with Abigail and Magnus immediately bonding with Ortus due to his love of history and epic poetry. I cannot take Magnus's "Stop flirting with my wife!" entirely at face value (I really like the idea that he's actually saying to stop flirting with his wife if he's not going to flirt with him too.) Would adore seeing these three having a chance to be alone together and just nerd out and enjoy each other's company.
Ortus/Mattias - Ortus's hero worship and Mattias's bemusement at how he's portrayed by the Noniad during the final fight amuse me, and I do wonder how the two of them would've interacted if they'd had longer to talk about how things really went back then. I just wanted them to have a chance to really interact and maybe to show Ortus that he really isn't chasing an impossible ideal.

For Sabin/Shadow and Shadow & Relm - I've always loved the potential for angst and Sabin's sunny disposition crashing up against Shadow's tragic past, and I've always thought that Shadow should've gotten a chance to make a relationship with Relm. Would really like to see something giving them that chance. It can take place in the game's timeline or after - Shadow is implied to have died in the Tower, but considering some of the things people have survived in FF games, it wouldn't be that much of a stretch for someone (maybe Sabin?) to come back and dig him out of the wreckage.
For Locke/Celes/Setzer - I love these three. I love the potential for complicated feelings between all three of them, how similar-yet-different their tragic backstories are. Would they help each other confront their demons or would they have to make things worse before they got better?
Other ideas:
- Fish-out-of-water narratives - could work for either, as Shadow is a commoner and Sabin is (technically) a prince and they'd have to deal with that, while Locke and Celes wouldn't know much about navigating "high society" and I'm fairly sure Setzer has to handle it sometimes.
- Rebuilding narratives - also works for either considering the state the world is left in after the game, any of them would have plenty to rebuild, literally or figuratively.
- Speaking of confronting demons, there's a sequence in the game where one character *literally* confronts his demons through magical means and it'd be really neat to see this applied to any of these.

Caraway has been one of my favorites for ages, and I would really like to know more about his relationship with Julia. He doesn't seem a cruel man, at least in his personal life, and he does seem concerned for Rinoa even though she is very much rebelling against him. What kind of home life do they have? His professional life is also pretty interesting, as is his relationship with Martine and Galbadia Garden; the arrangement that Galbadia Garden has with the Galbadian military is almost certainly something he approved of, so how much did he know about that entire mess? Were he and Martine friends, or perhaps something else at some point? It seems very likely, considering that Caraway visits Martine after his disgrace.
Pretty much anything based off of the above would be really interesting. I don't mind background Julia/Laguna or whatnot, and it definitely puts some angst into his relationship with her, since her most famous song is basically a love song about a man who'd never come back - but I'd rather it not be a major focus in the story. (I don't personally think that Laguna was sent away directly by Caraway; Julia had many admirers. But if that angle inspires you, go for it.)
