Assignment Swaps & Letter Checks
Assignment swaps approaches! That is, if you want to trade in a current fffx assignment for a different one, comment here or email me by September 14. More instructions below. If you want to keep your assignment, please just check in in November.
Swaps "week"
When I first thought of this, I referred to it as swaps "week", which is misleading - sorry. To be clear, your deadline to let me know if you would like to swap your assignment is September 14 (EDT). Here is a countdown to one minute before midnight on September 13, EDT. After that deadline I will sort through requests (will there be two? twelve? twenty?), reassign people, and post pinch hits. That will probably take less than a week. If we do this next year I will call it Swap Date or something like that.
If you want to swap your assignment
Please comment on this post or email mod.modzilla@gmail.com with:
-Your AO3 name
-Your current assignment
-Assignment(s) you would like instead
-Your preference: if you cannot have an assignment you want instead, would you like to default or would you like to keep your original assignment?
You are likely to get your preferred choice - however, I will not assign people to new recipients who already have two people creating for them OR who have already defaulted.
Letter checks
If your letter is clearly incomplete or locked on 14 September, I will edit your sign-up to remove the letter link.
Please check your letter to make sure it's fully visible and is the version you meant to post. Please do this even if you have defaulted or think you may have to default. Your original creators may be working on gifts for you, and treats are always possible. If you have unfinished sections that you don't think you'll be able to fill out, a note that says "This letter will not be updated further", or similar, counts as complete.
And if you're still in a checking mood, consider also checking your recipient's letter and their DNWs, while there is still plenty of time to correct course if straying into territory they won't enjoy.
Questions to recipients
I am happy to pass these on, whether you're asking about your official assignment or about requests you're thinking of treating.
Because I'm a solo mod and some people are asking for many fandoms, I am only making up fake questions if you'd specifically like me to, and then, just one or two. I don't promise to cover all fandoms, because I don't think I can do it convincingly. I hope that's all right!
Thank you very much to everyone who has responded to recipient questions. I really appreciate it. Right now, I have none outstanding.
