I am always enthusiastic about this very shiny movie series. The pretty people, the pretty cars, the chosen family themes, the mad skills, the crazy stunts, the ridiculous lengths the characters all go to for each other. I have seen all the movies and enjoyed every one of them.

Brian/Dom

The further the timeline goes past Furious Seven, the more I miss the chemistry they had together. I'd love to see snippets of Brian involved with the plots of Fate of the Furious or F9, chasing after the bullets at Dom's side like always (perhaps Elena is alive and safely out the fray watching the kiddos instead?)

But I'd be equally happy with canon-divergence getting-together fic of them set anywhere along the timeline. Such as: what if Brian had gone with Dom after Movie 1, or Dom was brought in in Movie 2 instead of Rome, or Brian did get some kind of deal for Dom in Movie 4, or things got more complicated with Letty's return in Movie 6, or they *all* ended up in Tokyo instead of just Han, or any other what-if you can dream up! Or any sort of tropey AU (soulmates, powers, post-apocalyptic, etc.) as long as it doesn't hit a DNW.

[Please no bashing of existing romantic partners, or going behind a partner's back; but any other pairing setup would be fine, canonical or otherwise, including divergence AUs, off-screen breakups or some flavor of poly.]

Sean/Gisele/Han:

I was angry for years after we saw that Luke Shaw survived something similar to Gisele's exit from Fast & Furious 6, but she didn't. And then they brought Han back, but still not Gisele! But then of course the end of Fast X, *finally*. And then there's Sean, who has grown up a lot over the years and helped build a rocket car since Han last saw him, but still fits right in!

In short, the last couple of movies really intrigued me with the possibilities of this pairing again, given all the dramatic reveals and returns. I don't have much in the way of prompts beyond an incoherent desire to smash them all together and watch the fireworks as they deal with all the ways they've changed and all the ways they haven't and the fray adjacency of falling back into the orbit of the rest of the F&F crew again and reconciling the differing sides of Han that Gisele and Sean knew and maybe what they heard/learned about each other's place in Han's life over the years. But you could write me most anything with them (including back in the Tokyo Drift era, obviously with a bit of canon divergence) and I would adore it.

My personal appreciation of it is along the lines of a budget knockoff Indiana Jones or the Brendan Fraser Mummy movies, and I enjoyed it very much for scratching that particular itch. :)

So give me more of Danny and Lexi, with or without their canon friends (and frenemies)! More adventures and mysteries, or more from their past, or sexy downtimes, or what happens next (between seasons, or post-Season 2, or in a canon-divergence AU), or more serious themes about justice and history if inspiration strikes. You can pretty much write whatever you want here that doesn't hit my DNWs and I'll enjoy it! Feel free to get as trope-y with it as you like; some form of 'magic is real' might be fun for this fandom, for example. Feel free to include angst, so long as it ends positively!

No, not the 2023 movie; the low-budget post-apocalyptic scifi movie starring Norman Reedus and Djimon Hounsou. :)

Movies like this one always leave me with so many questions. These guys have been trapped together, waking up from stasis only to bicker and spend a couple of hours checking on whether it's safe to revive their Noah's Ark facility yet and then go right back to sleep again when it isn't, for how many years? Clearly it hasn't been good for their mental health, and they weren't really prepared for their job or even friends beforehand. But they've bonded intensely anyway. Even after disaster strikes and they go straight for each other's throats, Bauer's practically last words are for Cartwright to take care of the wife he's been keeping a secret (and hallucinating) all that time, like he's fine with the fact that Cartwright won.

So tell me something else about these two guys stuck in post-apocalyptic hell keeping each other company! They clearly still have bodily functions, even if they're only awake a couple of hours at a time - do they ever sit down for actual meals? What were the first few panicky days like when they got sent there in the first place? What if the hallucinatory Abby (aka Cartwright's subconscious) started nudging him more in Bauer's direction to keep him a little saner? What else do they do together in those gaps between caretaking tasks? Might they ever get horny and blow off steam together, pretending until they can't anymore that that's just maintenance too? Do they ever wake up on any particular day of significance and bicker about that too - for example, Valentine's Day?

If you want to set it all before the events of the movie and not deal with Bauer's canon fate, that's fine; echoing the bottle theme in the fic! I could also see a fascinating fic if Cartwright starts hallucinating Bauer *and* his wife afterward, and Bauer doesn't go away even after everyone else wakes up in the epilogue. But I would be really thrilled if you found a way to save Bauer, even - or especially - if that complicates things more afterward. :)

Barney Ross/Ray Owens

I rewatched The Last Stand recently on an Aging Action Heroes streak, and it was a lot more fun than I'd remembered. Arnold Schwarzenegger's Sheriff trying to stop a bad guy going through his tiny town near the border, with eccentric help and the feds arriving just that little bit too late but triumphing nonetheless because he is an Aging Action Hero.

So pair him with another Aging Badass! Whether Sheriff Ray Owens is Trench from the Expendables, or related, or just mistaken for him at first and that's how he catches Barney Ross' attention, anything. Does some other bad guy the Expendables are chasing crash through Sommerton Junction? Or is Ray's mercenary boyfriend just visiting? I'd just love to see Ray and Barney interacting, with or without anyone else from their casts.

Eliot Spencer/John Wick

Badasses equally strong in their own field, that can keep up and complement each other, are a particular favorite of mine. Leverage is as much competence porn as John Wick, in its own way; seems like two great tastes might taste great together!

So - did John know Eliot during the latter's Moreau-era days - another part of either's past that might complicate his present? Might John have reached out to Eliot at some point during the events of the movies, for backup or a safe place to rest between fights? Or what if a Leverage investigation crossed with the assassin underworld? Eliot and his distinctiveness running up against the Baba Yaga, realizing after they're both bruised, bloody, and impressed that they're not actually foes, then wreaking hell upon the actual bad guy (and wrecking each other in more pleasurable ways afterward) seems like it might be a lot of fun. But whatever inspires you is sure to entertain me regardless.

I have seen all of Leverage and Leverage: Redemption and all four John Wick movies, but you can feel free to ignore the most recent developments of canon as you like.

Buffy Summers/Sean Renard

I always enjoy the idea of pairing Buffy up with badass men from other canons. And she *does* like a little monster in her man....

Is Buffy one of Sean's contacts post-Chosen, for things more on the supernatural than the wesen side? He does seem to have a lot of those around the world! Does she save his life from a demon at some point, and is surprised by his capability? Or vice versa? Or do they meet across the table in some negotiation, as he does with the Resistance? Lots of actiony and politicky and sexy possibilities, there. And if later in Grimm canon, maybe she's able to talk him off the ledge before he gives in to Black Claw?

Hutch Mansell (Nobody) + John Wick (John Wick Movies)

I do enjoy the whole aesthetic of the John Wick movies; all the worldbuilding, John being reluctant to get dragged back into the life but still supremely badass with it, his complicated relationships with the others in that world, the fact that he did try for a normal life even if it ended roughly, the works.

Nobody was basically lower-key John Wick without as much worldbuilding. Hutch also had an extremely badass reputation, an attempt to retire, complicated relationships with those from his former world... but maybe less regret for giving up on normality and admitting who he really is? I'd love to see Hutch and John crossing paths, whether Hutch's business (new or previous) took him into one of the Continentals, whether John knew him before or whether Hutch gets recruited into John's war against the High Table, just some excuse for them to be extreme badasses together and maybe talk a little about the dichotomy of being who they are yet trying to leave and what that meant to them. Any ships welcome.

Russ Agnew + William Lennox

I've never been able to get this idea out of my head: what if Milt Chamberlain's big secret wasn't what we saw in canon, but that he used to be known as William Lennox, before the government turned on the Autobots between DoM and AoE? All this time he’s been undercover, but his secret is about to find him .... (Feel free to ignore The Last Knight, here.)

Or, if Milt ISN'T Lennox, Russ and his fellow cops *mistaking* Lennox for Milt when some Transformers plot steamrolls through Battle Creek would be entertaining! Or vice versa-- someone from the Transformers side mistaking Milt for Lennox, and Russ getting caught up in it and having to work with Lennox to resolve the issue! There are all sorts of possibilities there, and I'd find any of them entertaining.

The Chronicles of Riddick Series

I love the survival themes of this series, the grittiness, the striking settings, Riddick and company's badass everything; and on the other hand also the whole mythology we barely get glimpses of with Furyans and Necromongers and so on. I will always want more fic for this fandom.

I don't care for completely amoral/sadistic takes on Riddick himself, but canon levels of dark humor, violence, and brutal pragmatism are what I'm in fandom for. All tropes and divergences and added worldbuilding that don't violate my DNWs are also great, if you want to play with Furyan biology or the Necromonger religion or include soulmates or anything else that strikes your fancy - so long as the fic ends on a positive note! Any rating welcome.

Some pairing prompt ideas (but do feel free to write whatever inspires you):

Riddick/Boss Johns: He joins the crew? AU identity fuckery where Riddick disguised himself as a bounty hunter after Pitch Black - how long does it take Boss Johns to find out, and how does the fallout resolve? Boss Johns showing up earlier in the timeline to interfere in the plot of the previous movies somehow?

Jack|Kyra & or / Dahl: Kyra survived and got exiled with Riddick, so she was there in the 3rd movie to meet Dahl? Or maybe Jack's career as a merc was more successful, and she ended up on Boss Johns' crew as an adult rather than in prison? With or without reactions from Riddick; I just want to see Kyra actually getting a chance at a happily ever after to her taste!

Riddick/Vaako/Dame Vaako: Mitigating Riddick's ruling style? Seducing Riddick to convert him rather than deciding to send him to Furya? Vaako returning from Underverse after the 3rd movie, finding Riddick there with Dame Vaako, having to figure out a new model for the Lord Marshal's rule? Preferably where each of them gets something of what they want.

So, I came out of Violent Night really wanting more backstory of this version of Santa Claus, who used to be a medieval warrior and has been dealing with magic for centuries without really knowing how it works, getting weary of the job but still caring.

They barely filled in any of that backstory, though; how did he get from the warrior in the flashbacks to becoming Santa? Was it a curse, or did he cross paths with some other mythological (or saintly, or quasi-historical) figure who 'blessed' him, or something else? We also know there's a Mrs. Claus, but nothing really about her - how did they meet? What's she like? Does she have magic of her own, and what's their life like apart from Christmas Eve? Did he ever get to use his badass experience in any other Christmas intervention down the centuries - perhaps when meeting the Mrs.? I just want to know *more*.

Alternatively, I found Trudy Lightstone and her interactions with this Santa absolutely delightful. What if (for Christmas Magic reasons or whatever) she holds onto the radio and it still works to contact him? Just the mental image of this kid narrating her life to him (and the family's; there had to be some fallout from Christmas!) and alternately baffling and asking bizarre advice of him etc. and perhaps summoning him for help again in perhaps not quite as serious a situation that still seems deathly serious to *her*, it all sounds sweet and funny.

But feel free to run with your own idea. Just have fun with Nicomund, and I'm sure to enjoy!

It's the story of two men struggling with issues of faith and how you can find what you've always been looking for in the strangest of places (and goriest of events). I love their interaction in the movie, but I always wished for more, especially given the ending, where it's made pretty clear that one of them is probably a god that's all primed to be worshiped by the other. Just the looks they give each other at the end - Thomas, knowing and resigned to his fate, while Malcolm has just had an epiphany and it's “oh, if I lost everything that ever mattered to me so I could get Thomas, I'm fairly sure it's going to be worth it.

So there's a lot to work with in the ending – how does the island rebuild its religion now that most of its former devotees have died or fled? Does it evolve over the years and how does do Malcolm and Thomas deal with unwanted intruders? There's also the plot hook of Jennifer and Andrea's escape – do they return to see what became of their family? I['d also love anything where somehow Malcolm benefits from being Thomas's first acolyte (and more) – perhaps the island has its own cycle of renewal and allows them both to live long past their natural lifespan.

Seriously, Tacitus, What Did The Druids Ever Do To You?
The historical setting of this movie is absolutely fantastic, but I'd be interested in seeing this set in a different time period. Maybe something way back, during the Roman Conquest of Wales, where Thomas and Malcolm both end up learning that yeah, maybe Tacitus wasn't completely full of shit. Or something far more modern would be great too – nothing better than going to a place where your cell phone really should work, but it doesn't and oh fuck, now the trees are eating me.

The One Where Malcolm Wonders If It's Worship or Blasphemy
So there's that whole part where the Goddess calls Thomas her child and yeah, it's supposed to be not literal, since it's pretty clear she's never left the island and he's never been there, but what if it wasn't? What if through some sort of magical weird bullshit, Thomas is born from her? I can see a couple of possibilities – one where he never learns of it until he's on the island and then it just gets deeply awkward when everyone realizes that or one where he's on the island from birth and grows up aware of who he is and definitely not crushing on the one guy in the village who doesn't think that Thomas needs to be chained up and drained of blood when he comes of age.

The other's the embodiment of hope and truth, beloved by all to the point that even the villains respect him. Together they fight Nazis, most likely get turned on by each other's past heroism, and probably have their biggest quarrels over who gets to sacrifice themselves this time! It's been a while since I've requested this and received a lovely story for it, but I was reminded of how much I adored it recently!

“We'll always have Paris” means a lot to Victor, considering it's where he met Rick. Feel free to fudge timelines here if you need to as well as motivations for why Victor might leave (captured family? Trying to protect Rick?) But now it's Victor who Rick broods over and it's made extra worse by realizing that it's really hard to hate someone who's so damn noble and apologetic over what happened and Sam, stop giving me those looks when I rant about him, damn it.

That kind of trouble just isn't worth it and he's going to stick to his business and not get sucked into any of this man's—well, that lasted all of two seconds before someone got shot and needs to be patched up while gazing into the other's eyes.

Maybe Rick never left the fight and took off for Casablanca, but stayed behind to help however he could. He's burnt out, though, getting cynical about whether anything he does makes a difference and he's starting to get reckless, hoping that he can go out in a blaze of glory. And then Victor shows up and it seems like a sign, to get him to safety by any means. Now if only Victor would stop trying to save Rick as well, once he realizes how much a toll Rick's work has taken on him.

I really love how you can tell Swan respects that Leach is a musical genius and also knows that he will have to plunder every bit of that, not just because of the whole deal with the devil, but also because it's the record industry and that's just how it goes. After all, you can give a man a fish and he's fed for a day, but if you teach a man how to utterly devote himself to you and attend to your every need, well, you're going to be eating well for a lifetime.

Swan spares Phoenix on one condition – that Winslow abide by the terms of the contract completely: "The party of the first part gives the party of the second part and his associates full power to do with him at their pleasure. Winslow resigns himself, perhaps, to living a life of eternal pain and torment, but he hadn't really counted on the worst part of it all: the pleasure and growing to enjoy it (Swan totally had).

It's pretty clear that Swan's attraction to someone is not defined not by gender or sexuality, but by beauty. So I have a couple of ideas about that – maybe it's one of those delightful reincarnation things and Winston wakes up in a new body. Unfortunately, Swan also got the same deal as him and he's figured out who Winston is long before Winston has a clue about Swan. Or no reincarnation needed – turns out weird science experiments of the 70s have fantastic results and now Winston is a pretty young thing with talent that's forever bound to Swan. I'd really like something set in the present to post-movie part – their backstory is tragic and sets up the conflict well, but I like them as older men, having to deal with perceived betrayals, double crosses, and nebulous plans.

It seems the movie leaves a couple of big plot points dangling at the end - Cosmo's still out there with the Mafia and Martin and the gang are kind of being public with their hacking. What happens when people do the math and Martin has to go on the run from multiple people with Cosmo, who may or may not also be on the run? It's hard to know with him, given they still have some minor trust issues, what with the whole abandonment thing.

You Can't Tell Me Cosmo Would Just Give Up Like That and Go Home
What if the ending was just a dream and Martin wakes up to Cosmo scowling at him because either he fell off the roof at the climax or Cosmo really did shoot him and then immediately regretted it (he totally spent day and night at Martin's bedside until he woke up but denies it). I would also not be averse to Martin realizing, wait a second, aren't I supposed to be in a hospital and Cosmo looking shady and maybe he might have kidnapped him, but it's fine because the feds were looking for you anyhow and they can't be allowed to get their hands on you.

It's A Happy Ending If You Overlook The Blackmail
Martin doesn't refuse Cosmo the first time he asks him to join him, or Cosmo decides that he'll have Martin working with him no matter what cost (or threat/coercion). How do they work together, considering Martin willingly does at the end something similar (even if it's small scale) to what Cosmo wanted all along?

I'm kind of a sucker for these type of dynamics – suave, professional assassin hunting a less experienced, but more creative person on the run, who then meet face to face only to realize that they're not so different after all (even the non-assassin doesn't want to admit it). And Three Days of the Condor is just so great with this! I love Joubert, all classy and calm, growing to respect and possibly even root for Turner (that last speech he gives him is just perfect). Then there's Turner, outwitting everyone until the very end, rejecting Joubert's advice, but not his gun, because there's always that car and that day and both of them know it. I'd love to have something more with the two of them – we really don't get nearly enough in the movie with them together, which is such a shame.

There's a lot of ground that could be covered after the movie – it's left deliberately ambiguous as to whether anything will be revealed or if the truth will just be buried under bureaucracy and bullshit, so I'd love to see where it goes from there. Does Turner get himself in a situation he can't get out of on his own (that car ride to nowhere) and Joubert ends up saving his life? Or does it all come out and—nothing happens, nothing changes, and now Turner has to reckon with that (perhaps Joubert helps him do so in more hospitable surroundings?)

Really, It's A Growth Industry
I'd love a canon divergence where Turner had taken Joubert up on his offer – maybe out of desperation, maybe because he thought he could expose a larger conspiracy, but in either case, there they are jetsetting around the world, training in the field of professional assassination. Or maybe Joubert makes the offer even earlier – perhaps he gets his hands on Turner before anyone else does, sensing potential and partnership.

Oh, There's Always Time For Bleak Conspiracy
I'm also deeply into AU for this as well – I love the 70s setting, but I feel like this story would work well in others. Film noir seems natural with the hunted protagonist trying to clear his name and expose a dark secret while he's chased down by nebulous foes. Or something more futuristic could mesh nicely; cyberpunk with all its corporate espionage and grim outlook seems a natural fit. And lastly, vampires. I don't have any concrete ideas about this – I just like vampire AUs for everything!

Once in a while, the Netflix algorithm gives you a gem and Yaksha: Ruthless Operations is one for sure. It's got one of my favorite dynamics to start off with. First, you've got a buttoned-up guy reluctantly entangled in a matter that tests him and forces him to open his eyes to the fact that things aren't always as black and white as they appear to be. Then you've got a cynical hardass leader of a team that thinks very little of the man who keeps getting in the way until he proves to have some hidden skills and then before you know it, Han Ji Hoon has traded in his suit for a leather jacket and Ji Kang In is saying things like “it has to be you” and calling him first at the end when he gets the team back together for another job. They're just so much fun together and really, if you want a hot older man to seduce your prosecutor/cop, Sol Kyung-gu (Kang In) is one of the best around.

The movie definitely ends on some nice sequel bait, so what happens “Yaksha” calls “Nike” back into the field? I could see something where Kang In keeps making up reasons to have Ji Hoon work with them – maybe the rest of the team catch on long before Ji Hoon does, or they get a new member who gets fed up and goes “look, I know you want to fuck him, but he's not--” and that's when Jeong-dae chloroforms him as Ji Hoon looks on blankly.

With The Tenth Rescue, You Get A Free Bungeoppang
Maybe one of them gets into trouble and the other one has to save them – Kang In breaks Ji Hoon out of interrogation and now they're on the run and Ji Hoon's pretty sure he's just never going to get back to his office again. Or Ji Hoon uses his legal skills to get Kang In out of a bind more than once and the team begins to appreciate the value of having someone who can just bury you with paperwork.

No Matter How Bad It Is, Kang In Can Always Make It Worse
Ji Hoon met Kang In a different way - maybe he was fully kicked out of the prosecutor's office and lost everything until he ran into the middle of one of Kang In's field operations and didn't immediately get shot or arrested. Obviously, that means he's perfect for the job, especially when Kang In runs his file and figures out exactly how useful he might be. Alternately, Kang In is the one on thin ice and Ji Hoon is brought into oversee his interrogation until Kang In decides he's not going to stick around for it and takes Ji Hoon as an unwilling souvenir on his way out.

And I'm a sucker for people coming together because of grief over a mutual loved one - and wow, do Malcolm and Ethan have a lot to grieve over. I love that basically, the two of them decided "we're done running from our problems so we'll just dwell in them instead."

I mean, Ethan's still a werewolf so there's that to angst about and Malcolm just lost another daughter, so there's plenty of room for people thinking about all the terrible life decisions they've made and deciding to make more by sleeping with each other.

There's a lot of monsters out there that they could still run into. After all, the penny dreadful field was full of creatures that never made it to the show – Spring Heeled Jack would be a prime candidate to menace the streets, or perhaps there's more than one “resurrection man” digging up corpses. And of course, gothic novels would be fitting too – you can't tell me that Ethan's religious connections wouldn't be interesting if run up against a certain Monk while he and Malcolm trip around Europe.

I'd also take a different first meeting – maybe Ethan never gets involved in the events of the first season and as a result, everything goes quite literally to Hell. Malcolm now has to figure out how to save Vanessa, figure out what the deal is with his newest hire, and do all of this while having the resources but not nearly the people skills to get a team together and save the world.

vikings is one of those shows that obsesses me because it left so much meat on the bone and is so, so flawed, and i love to see people play in that space and make the most of it.
ivar is my favorite character in the show and one of my favorites of all time, and i would love to see anything that gives him the time and space to be human that the show ultimately struggled to give him. additionally/alternately, his relationship with hvitserk is tragic and fascinating and i’m really invested in the ways that they finally start to heal together towards the end of the series.

i would love to see anything that explores his growth and development during s6. how does he finally come to terms with what a fucked up guy his father was? how does being a support for igor change things for him? he’s got a lot of stuff he’s dealing with for the first time on his own away from most of his brothers.

ADDITIONALLY my other BIG, HUGE, MASSIVE BEEF with this show is what happened to ivar at the end of it. he's one of the few people we have truly compelling primary source evidence of in the historical record, and it's pretty extensive. he didn't die while trying to take over northumbria, but went on to rule much of ireland for the remainder of his life. THAT story -- of him putting all of that s6 growth to use, of learning how to work with hvitserk, of learning how to be a level-headed and generous leader -- is one i would give a kidney to read.

i would love any kind of exploration into how and why a relationship might develop between the two of them, and what it would look like. there are complicated older/younger and mentor/mentee dynamics that could be at play at the same time as the current/former enemies one that they have in canon, and i’m down to play in that space. they also obviously both have very complicated relationships to jinx, and i’m interested to see how that would complicate things further. there's no need to smooth over all aspects of their rivalry and the violence that's transpired between them, i'm more than comfortable with an on-and-off, vaguely toxic relationship.

some jumping off points might be: what if the s1 ending went differently (Silco didn't die? Vi talked Jinx off the "blowing up the council" ledge?) and Vi stuck around in Zaun to stay close to Jinx? what if Vi were secretly splitting her time between the upper city and the lower? what if Vi tried to follow some lead on Silco/Jinx/her imprisonment from her time in prison and it led her to Sevika's door?
