Media: Middle-grade fantasy series consisting of two books. There's also a stand-alone prequel called Alliana, Girl of Dragons, a Cinderella-inspired story about Alliana, the future Queen of Rivelle, and Eva's parents also play a prominent role in the book.
Summary: Evalithimus "Eva" Evergreen is a twelve-year-old trainee witch with only a pinch of magic. As such, she hasn't quite gotten the hang of casting spells, so when she sets out on her Novice Quest and ends up in the coastal town of Auteri, most of the residents don't expect much from her. However, with her flamefox Ember and a handful of new friends by her side, Eva is determined to prove herself as a true witch. All the while, the mysterious magical storm known as the Culling is inching ever closer.
I'm requesting Eva Evergreen as a crossover with Sunday Without God, as although the settings are rather different, I would love to see Eva and Ai becoming friends. It's also fun to imagine how to merge the settings, like figuring out how the magic of Eva's world would work with the lack of true birth and death of Ai's world.
